<p>Nancy Atlas and her band of Journeymen have been dominating the East End Music scene or Long Island for quite some time. Known for her raw, live performances and stellar songwriting Nancy and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have opened for almost everyone under the sun. To name a few: Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills and Nash… the list goes on and on. The reason is simple. When people want a solid act to open their show and get the crowd warmed up, they call  Nancy and her boys because they know they will deliver. Every time.<br />Nancy grew up with gypsy blood in Commack, NY. Eager to get the buck out of dodge she spent her entire college years abroad at both Cambridge University in England and Richmond College in London and Florence.  She majored in art history, fine art, drinking lots of wine and talking shit. There was a serious recession going on the year she graduated college so instead of becoming a mad advertising executive she walked down to Portabello Road, London, bought a guitar for 60 quid and never looked back. It was pouring buckets of English rain that day so they gave her a black plastic bag to cover her guitar as it didn’t come with a case. Nothing, it is said, can stop true desire.<br />Nancy now lives in Montauk, New York with her husband Thomas and her two sons, Cash and Levon, and her daughter Tallulah. When she is not writing a song or on stage rocking out, she can be found clamming with her kids, surfing with her kids, walking with her kids, reading with her kids or <a href="http://nancyatlas.com/?page_id&#61;285">cartooning</a> for her kids. On rainy days she lazily traces tour maps of Europe with her right hand while sipping her beloved PG Tibs English Tea and smiling out into the East End Mist.</p><blockquote><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>Danielia Cotton is a New York City based singer/songwriter originally from Hopewell, NJ. In 2010 Danielia was named </strong><strong>Lilith Fair&#39;s</strong><strong> Ourstage Local Talent Winner for NYC. Since then she has shared the stage with the likes of Robert Cray, Bon Jovi, and Gregg Allman.  In the review of her <em>Rare Child</em> album The NY Times says this: “</strong><strong><span style="color:#262626;font-family:&#39;cambria&#39; , serif;font-size:medium">She’s a belter who can hold back or work her way up to a gospelly blues-rock shout, and in the songs she writes with her band’s brawny guitar riffs, she grapples with the road, salvation, holding on and letting go. “The truth will set you free, but it always feels like it tears you apart,” she sings. <div><p>Merging the complex rhythms and Latin influences of South America with a modern fusion of funk and commercial dance music, Conga Cartel brilliantly combines to produce an explosive mix of dynamic music that rocks audiences to their very core.</p><p>Working out of New York, the seven-piece band represent the wonderful tapestry of the South American continent and have been weaving together a stunning sound that has been entertaining crowds for years. A true international collection of experienced musicians, with band members coming from Uruguay, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and New York itself, their music is undeniably infectious and underpinned by that audacious Latin flare.</p><p>Fronted by the smokey and soaring vocals of Carolina, every single member of the band combines to become more than a sum of all their parts. Willy Fuentes from Chile drives the rhythm section with solid bass line grooves. Playing drums with boundless vitality, Jorge Castano, originally from Colombia, provides that perfect interplay with the rest of the band; complemented at all times by father and son percussionists Aquiles Jr. and Aquiles Senior. Infused with their Venezuelan heritage, they provide that infectious top line of congas, timbales, maracas, bongos, bells, and whistles that brings the carnival to the party. And finally, but by no means least, fitting like a smoldering glove of Santana-inspired guitar licks, Fabian Rodriguez from Ecuador proves his elegant mastery of the six-stringed instrument to audiences every time he performs.<br /><br />Conga Cartel has also egularly jammed with members of Mambo Loco.</p><p>Conga Cartel have played at some of the most memorable events and venues in the Hamptons including The Montauk Music Festival, North-West ‘Woodstock’, Stephen Talkhouse, The Gig Shack , Springs Tavern, Tauk at Trails End, The Surf Club and The Harpoon House. Either individually or as a band, they have worked with artists such as Taylor Dayne, Orquesta Alquimia, Steel Pulse, Mila Tina, GE Smith, Big Karma, Mambo Loco, and Bajo Suen?os. As these performances and legacy demonstrate, they firmly believe in providing a platform and a strong voice for the Latin community.</p><p>That incredible experience on stage and unique understanding of the musical journey that their audiences are on, is also driving them towards the studio and an album recording that is eagerly anticipated by their fans. Putting their fingerprints all over an eclectic mix of covers from the 70&#39;s, 80&#39;s and 90&#39;s while intertwining some of their own catchy originals, LHT keeps the party moving, the drinks flowing and the dance floor packed. LHT has plays regularly at the legendary Stephen Talkhouse as well as other venues in the Hamptons. LHT has lended their talents to benefit Wounded Warriors, The Blue Point Fired Department, as well as local individuals in the community in need of help for medical issues. LHT regularly plays private parties including weddings, providing the perfect atmosphere for any fun party. LHT has shared the stage with Chad Smith, G.E. Smith, and Jimmy Buffet, as well has played shows with Susan Vega, Tribe Called Quest, Paul Simon, and many more.</p>

<p><strong>Dizzy After Midnight</strong>, founded by life-long pals Mike Alessi (vocals, guitar) &amp; Jake Atherton (guitar), are a four-piece rock group dipping into elements of pop, blues, country and RnB with their dazzling repertoire and sweet-tooth for catchy hooks. This isn&#39;t your father&#39;s party band; Dizzy is sophisticated, creative and locked in with clever mashups, arrangements and pinpoint covers of anything from Lady Gaga to Matchbox Twenty to The Chainsmokers to Tom Petty, and just about everything in between. Ryan Gruber on the bass and Sean Sokol on the drums make up the rhythm section, keeping the groove locked in and the crowd dancing till the sun comes up.</p>

Since his 1978 debut album, For You, his music has filled the airwaves with raw musical emotion. From the day he first slung a guitar on a local stage, the Georgia-born band leader announced himself as an artist to watch. Born Brooks Mason in</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">June 1996, he was playing guitar by the age of six (“One of those with the speaker in</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">it – the most bang for your buck, y’know?”). Even then, manufactured pop music held</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">nothing for him, and his years at Union Grove High School were instead soundtracked</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">by local heroes like Sean Costello, alongside his studies of “older cats” like Muddy</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King and Rory Gallagher.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">“I wanted to see what made them groove and tick,” he explains. “I’ve been making up</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">lyrics on the spot for years. I believe that came from my Uncle Brian at our family fish</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">fries – he taught me about what made people laugh and what kept the audience’s</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">attention.”</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Coming up on his home state’s live circuit – first with cover band The Smokin’ Frogs,</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">then with highly rated blues-rockers The Georgia Flood – Mason soon turned heads,</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">even representing the Atlanta Blues Society at the 2013 International Blues Challenge</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">in Memphis. But his true birth as an artist came when he buried his birth name and</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">adopted that striking solo moniker. “A lot of people wanted me to be the Brooks</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Mason Blues Band, but that’s been done,” he reasons. “I wanted to start from scratch</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">– and I ain’t never heard of no bluesman named Eddie 9V.”</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">From the start, Eddie’s output pricked up ears, with 2019’s </span><em><span style="font-weight:400">Left My Soul In Memphis</span></em></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">dubbed “fresh and life-affirming” by Rock &amp; Blues Muse and the chaotic free-for-all of</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">2021’s </span><em><span style="font-weight:400">Little Black Flies</span></em><span style="font-weight:400"> praised by Classic Rock as “like having all your best mates in</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">the speakers”. In 2023, he got his best reviews yet for ‘Capricorn’, a record tracked at</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">the near-mythical Macon studio of the same name, that led The Guardian and NME’s</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Henry Yates to declare: “As an artist, he sounds fully charged”.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">But the great artists evolve, and in both its songcraft and execution, ‘Saratoga’ finds</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Eddie painting with more colors from his palette. “I was shooting for a more</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Americana-type album this time, less blues songs and solos and more focusing on the</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">songwriting,” he explains of the eleven originals co-written with his brother, the much-</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">respected Southern musician, Lane Kelly. Unlike the anarchy of earlier albums,</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">meanwhile, the sessions mostly saw the multi-instrumentalist siblings hunkered down</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">at their own Echo Deco Studio in Atlanta, self-producing the new tracks with Patrick</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Meese and inviting guest players to supply horns, fiddle and lap steel.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">“It was definitely more me and my brother in our home studio recording everything.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">There’s a lot of guests, for sure, but it was mainly overdubbing. We did the songs</span></p><p><em><span style="font-weight:400">Saratoga</span></em><span style="font-weight:400">, </span><em><span style="font-weight:400">Delta</span></em><span style="font-weight:400"> and </span><em><span style="font-weight:400">Halo</span></em><span style="font-weight:400"> at Crown Lanes Studio in Denver and it was nice to take a</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">break, walk outside, see the mountains, feel the fresh air. At our studio, it’s just muggy</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">with mosquitoes. But sometimes it’s good to not have distractions.”</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Likewise, the new songs of ‘Saratoga’ deserve nothing less than your full attention.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Eddie’s latest album announces his new groove with the crisp, purposeful beats of the</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">opening title track, an instant favorite that gets under your skin with its almost disco-</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">style harmonies and joust of horns and slide guitar. <p><span style="font-weight:400">Often referred to as “The Hendrix of the Sahara”, Vieux Farka Touré was born in Niafunké, Mali in 1981. He is the son of legendary Malian guitar player Ali Farka Touré, who died in 2006. Ali Farka Touré came from a historical tribe of soldiers, and defied his parents in becoming a musician. When Vieux was in his teens, he declared that he also wanted to be a musician. His father disapproved due to the pressures he had experienced being a musician. Rather, he wanted Vieux to become a soldier. But with help from family friend the kora maestro Toumani Diabaté, Vieux eventually convinced his father to give him his blessing to become a musician shortly before Ali passed.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Vieux was initially a drummer / calabash player at Mali’s Institut National des Arts, but secretly began playing guitar in 2001. Ali Farka Touré was weakened with cancer when Vieux announced that he was going to record an album. Ali recorded a couple of tracks with him, and these recordings, which can be heard on Vieux’s debut CD, were amongst his final ones. It has been said that the senior Touré played rough mixes of these songs when people visited him in his final days, at peace with, and proud of, his son’s talent as a musician.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2005, Eric Herman (still Vieux’s manager today) of Modiba Productions expressed an interest in producing an album for Vieux; this led to Vieux’s self-titled debut album, released by World Village in 2007. Ali Farka Touré’s work to tackle the problem of malaria is continued as 10% of proceeds are donated to Modiba’s “Fight Malaria” campaign in Niafunké through which over 3000 mosquito nets have been delivered to children and pregnant women in the Timbuktu region of Mali. On this first album, Vieux pays homage to his father and follows Ali’s musical tradition, giving new versions of the West African music that is echoed in the American blues. The album features Toumani Diabaté, as well as his late father.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">On his second record, Fondo on Six Degrees (2009), Vieux branched out and presented his own sound: while remaining true to the roots of his father’s music he uses elements of rock, Latin music, and other African influences. The album received a great deal of critical acclaim from across the globe, and Vieux was clearly moving out of his father’s shadow.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">By June 2010, Vieux was performing at the opening concert for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. That month Vieux also released his first live album, LIVE. His live performances are highly energized and Vieux is known for dazzling crowds with his speed and dexterity on the guitar, as well as his palpable charisma and luminous smile, both of which captivate audiences from all audiences in spite of any language barriers (though Vieux does speak 8 languages).</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2011 Vieux released his 3rd studio album, The Secret, so named because the listener will hear the secret of the blues with a blend of generations from father to son. It was produced by guitarist Eric Krasno (of the Soulive trio) and features South African-born vocalist Dave Matthews, Derek Trucks on electric slide guitar and jazz guitarist John Scofield. The title track is the last collaboration between Vieux and his late father. With the heralded release of The Secret, Vieux Farka Touré has clearly established himself as one of the world’s rare musical talents and guitar virtuosos with a distinct style that always pays homage to the past while looking towards the future.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Vieux released The Tel Aviv Session (Cumbancha) in April 2012, a collaborative project with Israeli superstar Idan Raichel dubbed ‘The Touré-Raichel Collective’ that has been hailed by fans and critics alike as a masterpiece and one of the best collaborative albums in the history of international music, drawing comparisons to Ali Farka Touré and Ry Cooder’s legendary Talking Timbuktu album.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2013, Vieux Farka Touré’s beautiful and critically acclaimed album Mon Pays was released as an homage to his homeland. Being that his native Mali had recently been splintered by territorial fighting between Tuareg and Islamic rebels since January 2012, Mon Pays was devoted to reminding the world about the beauty and culture of his native Mali. Translated as ‘My Country,’ this predominantly acoustic undertaking transformed into an artifact of cultural preservation. Two songs on the project - ‘Future’ and ‘Peace’ feature Sidiki Diabate’s kora leading an emotional charge complemented by Touré’s spectacular guitar work. Both tracks represent an important generational “passing of the torch” as Sidiki’s father, Toumani is considered one of the greatest living kora masters and was a close friend of Vieux’s father Ali. Mon Pays has been widely hailed as the most mature and lovely record yet from one of this generation’s most exciting artists to come out of Mali and one of world music’s true rising stars.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Vieux reunited with Idan Raichel in Paris to record, release and subsequently tour their 2nd collaborative album as The Touré-Raichel Collective in 2014. The result was yet another musical and critical triumph, titled &#39;The Paris Session&#39; (Cumbancha) revered by many as not just a musical gem for the ages, but a powerful testimonial to the power of art and fraternity to transcend vast cultural and political divides. In 2015, Vieux released another unexpected, genre-bending collaborative album, this time with New York-based singer Julia Easterlin, aptly titled &#39;Touristes&#39;. The album shot to the top of the iTunes World chart and earned critical acclaim, including that of John Schaefer (NPR) who called it &#34;brilliant.&#34; On April 7, 2017, Vieux released his next album &#39;Samba&#39;, recorded live in front of a small audience at Applehead Studio in Woodstock, NY.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">When the COVID pandemic hit in 2020 and all touring ground to a halt, Vieux stayed focussed on his craft at home. He worked tirelessly in the studio he built at his family&#39;s compound (which he named &#39;Studio Ali Farka Toure&#39; in honor of his late father) to record his debut album for World Circuit Records/BMG, the prestigious UK-based record label with whom his father recorded and released most of his own work. The resulting album, &#39;Les Racines&#39; (released June 2022), sees Vieux masterfully return to the deep roots of the Desert Blues music that his father introduced to the world and Vieux spent most of his career to date exploring, experimenting with, and expanding. 2022 also saw the release of a long-awaited collaborative album between Vieux and Houston-based psych-rock superstars Khruangbin called ‘Ali’ - an album on which the artists join forces to pay homage to Ali Farka Toure by reimagining eight of his songs together.  The album was an instant hit around the globe, immediately getting millions of streams, enormous critical acclaim and even earning the praise of Sir Elton John who called it &#34;one of the albums of the year - absolutely wonderful music.&#34; With each new project Vieux broadens his horizons, embraces new challenges and further entrenches his reputation as one of the world’s most talented and innovative musicians.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">As a passionate champion for the people of Mali and The Sahel, Vieux founded the charity Amahrec Sahel in 2012. As part of Amahrec Sahel’s mission to support humanitarian reconstruction and culture, the charity has provided school supplies for children, supported an orphanage in Bamako and provided musical instruments for young musicians in Mali. Vieux is also the director of The Ali Farka Touré Foundation, an international organization dedicated to the preservation of Ali’s legacy and the cultural growth of Mali.</span></p>
