Hello Brooklyn: One part pop music and one part hip-hop... all blended together and spiked with some rock'n'roll. That's how HELLO BROOKLYN was formed in late 2011 in the city that never sleeps, NYC. HELLO BROOKLYN's creativity and unique lineup transforms their live shows into your favorite concert, dance party, rock event and singing-along-in-the-shower all mashed up into a high energy performance. From the latest pop songs to the hottest hip-hop and dance hits, the band strives to keep people singing and dancing along all night long. HELLO BROOKLYN is led by the unique duo of Liz Regan and Ray Ramos. Liz brings a girl-next-door vibe infused with a big rock'n'roll voice and uplifting charisma while Ray's intensity, authenticity and skills as a MC have earned him fans throughout the East Coast having previously fronted successful bands in Philadelphia and Washington DC for over a decade. Depending on who you ask, our band's name came from a variety of origins. Some say it's because three of the band's original five members lived in Brooklyn, while others claim it is an homage to the "Hello Brooklyn" records by the Beastie Boys and JayZ. Or is it because when you leave one of our rowdy shows in Greenwich Village you see the sunrise and say hello to the BK. All of these theories hold some merit, but as long as it's synonymous with having a good time and singing at the top of your lungs, we're good. PS - the bulldog in our logo is our band mascot Taco who lives a spoiled fatty life.

News

  • Stephen Talkhouse will be Closed until May 1st
We will be closed until May 1st After a week-long deliberation, we have decided that it is in the community's best interest that the Talkhouse close for two weeks. We are in uncharted waters and we will be monitoring the spread, and hopefully the containment, of the virus. This is a tough decision for us as we know we provide an outlet for people to have a good time. We feel that everyone's safety and health is what we should focus on until we have a better grasp of the situation. During the next two weeks we will be installing hand sanitizer's throughout the bar. We also will be instituting sanitizing protocols when we do open. To all our patrons, musicians, and everyone else we ask that you take this situation seriously and stay safe and healthy. When we do open please stay home if you suspect that you may be ill. We will update you if anything changes. Again, please stay safe.
