From NYC and points West:
Take the Midtown Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway (495) East to exit 70 (Manorville). Make a right at the end of the exit ramp. Continue on this road until it merges with Route 27 heading East. Route 27 will go from a 4 lane highway to a 2 lane country road as you go east through Southhampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, and East Hampton. As you enter the hamlet of Amagansett you will go through a traffic light with a deli/convenience store (Brent’s) on the southeast corner (far right side). The next main intersection has a Mobil gas station (also on the SE corner). The Talkhouse is a three story renovated house 100 yards diagonally across the street.

From Connecticut and points North:
Take New London Ferry (860-443-5281) to Orient Point, Long Island, New York. Follow Route 25 West to Greenport. Take Shelter Island Ferry (runs every 15 min.) to Shelter Island. Follow Route 114 South across the small island. Take the next ferry to Sag Harbor. You will again be on Route 114. Follow 114 South until you reach East Hampton where Route 114 deadends into Route 27. Turn left to go East on 27 (not an easy feat in summer- be patient). Stay on 27E through East Hampton village (2 lights).

If you choose not to spend the extra money on the two ferries you can : Follow Route 25 West all the way to Riverhead. Take 105 South to Route 24 East to Route 27 East. Route 27 will go from a 4 lane highway to a 2 lane country road as you go east through Southampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, and East Hampton.

  • LIVE MUSIC at the Talkhouse starting July 30th
We’ll be putting on live music at the Talkhouse starting July 30th. Though we are legally allowed to have patrons inside the club we are opting not to do so for safety reasons. That means the performers will perform on our stage but their audience will be seated outside on our patio deck where they can hear the show and view it on video screens. It’s a way to safely experience the show with other fans and support local performers and us in these tough times. All door proceeds will go to the artists. All social distancing protocols will be strictly enforced. You must wear a mask when using the restrooms or getting up from the table at any time You must order food with the purchase of a beverage
