Waiting For Henry is four guys, a stack of beater geetars, a coupla Tube Screamers, one set of drums and two albums of emotive American rock & roll. This summer, Waiting For Henry is set to release Town Called Patience, the follow up to their critically acclaimed debut, Ghosts & Compromise. Earning praise and Americana airplay on both sides of the Atlantic, Ghosts was a big indie surprise of 2013. Called “timeless… perfect for any playlist in any era,” (Huffington Post), “a guitar lover’s dream” (Aquarian Weekly) and “a Jayhawks meets R.E.M. intelligent power,” (Alternate Root), the album made many Top 10 and 20 lists for the year. On Town Called Patience, the band put their 80’s indie, meets 90’s alt-country influences in the hands of guru producer Mitch Easter, the man responsible for producing R.E.M.’s masterpieces Murmur and Reckoning. The 12 songs that underpin this American ride were mixed by Darrell Thorp, Grammy Award winning mixer of Beck’s Morning Phase, and mastered by Born To Run engineer, Greg Calbi. The album is a maturation in song, craft and energy. Songs can be heard at . Waiting For Henry members, singer/guitarists Dave Slomin and Dave Ashdown, bassist Mike Chun and drummer Rob Draghi are looking forward their return to Stephen Talkhouse. Expect a gritty symphony of decided imperfection… mostly in the Key of G. In the words of Toronto’s exclaim magazine, their energetic live show “can sneak up on you, carry you away…”
