The Duke is a band; a bare-knuckle street-fighter, a dog gone rabid, a Hilton in Paris, if you will. Blues so blue you can't even breathe. A rock rollin' so damn hard it could stop a freight train.

Eric, Slim & Wash make up the respective left hook, right cross and uppercut in The Duke's arsenal. After forming in September (as The Dukes of Brooklyn) and releasing an EP in December of 2011, the fellas have been laying some solid groundwork in their hometown of New York City. The Duke has rocked crowds at Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, Union Pool, Brooklyn Bowl, and Stephen Talkhouse. They've even played a few shows for the inmates of the Metropolitan Detention Center, a federal prison in Brooklyn.

The boys hit the road in Spring 2012, making stops in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana. Their raw and energetic sound has gotten some media attention too. Swimsuit diva Kate Upton stripped almost bare to their first single, "Push Me Away", in a spot on Esquire.com.

The Duke completed their first album at Studio G in Brooklyn. It is available for download exclusively on itwastheDuke.com- Get some!
