Marigrace began her long journey into the deep abyss of rock-n-roll at 12 yrs, playing on the east end of Long Island in an extended network of family and friends of great musicians and lovers of all things rock-n-roll. At 16 yrs she moved to the Loisaida and Alphabet City, to create and establish her specific style and sound in the reckless downtown NYC music scene.

Performance art was the initial expression, breaking away from the typical band concept and performing all over the city. Soon after, her first band “Hard Candy” was established and they toured Europe and the USA with their hard driving sounds. The music industry was changing drastically, Hard Candy disbanded and Marigrace went on to create future sounds with legendary musicians and artists from the powerful downtown NYC music scene regularly playing east and west coast dives, bars and clubs such as CBGBomfug, Continental Divide, Brownies, Sugar Reef, Lizmar Lounge, Cooler, Sine, Arlene’s Grocery, Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory and more. She remained very active in the summer music scene of the Hamptons playing all venues whilst continuing her love of surfing and the ocean.

Marigrace has been compared to many but has created a style all of her own. Her music has been licensed to commercials, television and movie features. The new band of misfits are touring in support of her new 16 song CD this spring and summer of 2012 and will continue to inspire and weave their web of rock-n-roll, soul and cabaret into the fabric of 21st century rox.
