<p>Don’t be fooled by the title of Glenn Tilbrook’s latest album, Happy Ending, or at least not all of it. He’s happy, of course, and why <br />wouldn’t he be? He’s more than earned his place at pop’s top table as one of our most cherished singers, guitarists and songwriters, <br />not to mention an in-demand and endlessly endearing live performer. But more than 40 years after he first answered an ad placed <br />by Chris Difford looking for like-minded sorts to form the band that became the much-loved evergreen Squeeze, an ending is <br />nowhere in sight.<br />In 2014 alone, in addition to releasing the highly acclaimed Happy Ending (“an unqualified triumph” – Daily Mirror), Glenn is <br />busy treading the boards both at home and away, saddling up with Mr Difford again for a tour of songs and stories under the <br />banner “The At Odds Couple”, and – also in tandem with Chris – writing material for a TV series based on the life of another South <br />London renaissance man, journalist and broadcaster Danny Baker.<br />“It’ll be just Chris and myself on stage playing songs in quite a different way,” says Glenn. “We’re very different musicians to when <br />we first started out, we’re way ahead of where we were – you could say we’ve actually learned how to play properly! We’ve put in a <br />lot of time rehearsing, and have gone into our catalogue of songs from before we started making records, things people won’t have <br />heard before, and there’s some good stuff in there. <br />“On record, there’s never really any reason to look back, but live it’s a different perspective. It’s interesting to revisit those songs we <br />wrote between 1974 and ’76; there’s lots of them. It was an incredibly fruitful time for us. There will also be some new stuff, songs <br />that we’ll be recording early next year, which go hand in hand with the Danny Baker TV series.”<br />The Glenn &amp; Chris connection to Baker stretches back to even before the days of Squeeze.<br />“I remember meeting Danny for the first time when I was about 17, and Chris actually went to the same school as him. We’re South <br />London contemporaries, so we know what the area was like back then. I read Danny’s book, which is very evocative of that time, <br />and I thought it would be a good idea for us to do something based on it. Of all the vehicles I’ve been looking at for myself and <br />Chris to get involved in, this was the one I thought really had legs. It’s a really exciting project.”<br />Such is the continuing work ethic of a fellow who’s never been far from the action since Squeeze made their recording bow with <br />the Packet Of Three EP in 1977. Those humble three tracks led to such enduring pop classics as Take Me I’m Yours, Cool For Cats, <br />Up The Junction, Another Nail In My Heart, Tempted, Labelled With Love, Black Coffee In Bed, Hourglass (this could go on for a <br />while...), not to mention landmark albums like Argybargy, East Side Story and Some Fantastic Place.<br />Squeeze’s demise in 1998 (though not permanent) saw Glenn embark on a solo career that spawned the albums The Incomplete <br />Glenn Tilbrook (2001) and Transatlantic Ping-Pong (2004), showcasing an ever-maturing songwriting talent (his first major works <br />without the input of lyricist Difford) and the formation of his new band The Fluffers. Initially put together as a touring concern, <br />The Fluffers came into their own on Glenn’s next long player, 2009’s Pandemonium Ensues – by which time Squeeze were also back <br />in business, playing sell-out tours across the UK and US.<br />2011 saw Glenn and Nine Below Zero collaborate on The Co-operative, an inspired mix of original songs co-written with Dennis <br />Greaves, plus instrumental tracks and a few covers, from Johnny Paycheck via Randy Newman to Lennon &amp; McCartney.<br />Arguably, though, Happy Ending is Glenn’s most personal work to date, a series of evocative portraits of time, people and places, <br />that included writing and vocal contributions by his own children Leon and Wesley, in addition to old friends Simon Hanson <br />(Fluffers/reunited Squeeze drummer) and Dennis Greaves (Nine Below Zero, also Glenn’s compatriot in the side project band The <br />Co-operative).<br />“I’m really, really vibed up on what I’m doing now,” Glenn says of Happy Ending. “To me, this record takes its place alongside <br />Pandemonium Ensues, East Side Story, Argybargy and Cool For Cats, which are my favourites of all the ones I’ve made. That’s five <br />albums that I’ve thought ‘Yes! I’ve actually done that properly now”...” <br />Anyone who has witnessed Glenn on the live stage can attest to the properness of his doings, as it were. Armed with ready wit, <br />raucous vibes and a shed load of grin-inducing great songs, there are few musicians able to connect with their audience on such <br />an immediate and warm level. The ever burgeoning festival circuit is frequently enriched by Tilbrook the troubadour, whether he <br />be leafing through his own plentiful back pages or dashing off impromptu audience requests ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Tony <br />Orlando &amp; Dawn, and all points in-between.<br />“I’ve been doing solo tours for the last 18 years or so, and it’s been great fun. When I started it was becoming clear that the old <br />music business model of record companies was a thing of the past, for me, and it was time to do things under my own steam. And <br />to be honest, I’ve never been happier. You may not have the major sales of the old days, but what you’re doing is so much more <br />gratifying.<br />“More or less everything I do now is because I want to do it. I’ve always wanted to make music, but there were times when the <br />business side of it got in the way, and I felt removed from what I’d originally set out to do. When you’re involved with a major label <br />it kind of becomes like writing by committee, whereas all the best stuff should be personal, it should be your own voice. Happy <br />Ending is probably the most personal album I’ve ever made, and I’m really, really proud of it.” <br />Away from the constant and steady stream of fine music, Ivor Novello, Nordoff Robbins, Mojo and PPL awards, landmark plaques <br />commemorating his formative Squeeze years in Greenwich, Glenn is also active in the charity Love Hope Strength, set up by his <br />friend Mike Peters of The Alarm. LHS raises money to set up cancer units in countries in need, and works tirelessly on raising <br />awareness on bone marrow donation. His work with the charity has included record-breaking treks up mounts Everest, Fuji and <br />Kilimanjaro, which should come as no surprise to anyone already in thrall to the man</p>

Michael also writes and produces original songs that he has licensed for film, television, and broadcast radio. </p><p>Jeff Levitt – lead guitar and vocals. Jeff has been playing lead guitar in numerous rock bands for decades, covering everybody from The Beatles to The Allman Brothers and Steely Dan.   He is the lead guitarist with The Moondogs since 2016. Jeff is also a member of The Steven Tekulsky Band / Steven Tekulsky Trio and is a frequent member of Sarah Conway and the Playful Souls.</p><p>David Zensky – lead guitar and vocals.  David is a Long Island native and lifelong rock &#39;n&#39; roll roller, most recently playing in some of New York City&#39;s favorite tribute bands, including Mockingbird Hill, Local Heroes, The Letterbombs and Tumblweed Connection.</p><p>Paul Brokaw – keyboards and vocals. Paul is another lifelong rocker and is also a prolific composer having written, recorded and produced over 600 pieces of music published in over 36 countries around the world. Paul has played in numerous bands for decades and is currently a longtime member of Damaged Goods and Ken McGorry and the Achievements.</p><p>Troy Grindle – bass and vocals. Troy is a multi-instrumentalist (bass guitar, guitar, drums, violin, keyboards) best known as a member of Real East End Brass (REEB!). He also performs with Peconic County Ramblers, Hamptons Chamber Orchestra and Alhambra Orchestra</p><p>Mark Pohl – drums and vocals. <p>Nancy Atlas and her band of Journeymen have been dominating the East End Music scene or Long Island for quite some time. Known for her raw, live performances and stellar songwriting Nancy and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have opened for almost everyone under the sun. To name a few: Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills and Nash… the list goes on and on. The reason is simple. When people want a solid act to open their show and get the crowd warmed up, they call  Nancy and her boys because they know they will deliver. Every time.<br />Nancy grew up with gypsy blood in Commack, NY. Eager to get the buck out of dodge she spent her entire college years abroad at both Cambridge University in England and Richmond College in London and Florence.  She majored in art history, fine art, drinking lots of wine and talking shit. There was a serious recession going on the year she graduated college so instead of becoming a mad advertising executive she walked down to Portabello Road, London, bought a guitar for 60 quid and never looked back. It was pouring buckets of English rain that day so they gave her a black plastic bag to cover her guitar as it didn’t come with a case. Nothing, it is said, can stop true desire.<br />Nancy now lives in Montauk, New York with her husband Thomas and her two sons, Cash and Levon, and her daughter Tallulah. When she is not writing a song or on stage rocking out, she can be found clamming with her kids, surfing with her kids, walking with her kids, reading with her kids or <a href="http://nancyatlas.com/?page_id&#61;285">cartooning</a> for her kids. On rainy days she lazily traces tour maps of Europe with her right hand while sipping her beloved PG Tibs English Tea and smiling out into the East End Mist.</p><p>Nick Kessler:</p><blockquote><div><div><div><div><div><div><blockquote><div><div><div><div><p>Nick Kessler is a singer/songwriter born and raised in New York City who has been playing guitar for twenty years. His major influences are the Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton, The Band, and The Beatles. Nick’s dynamic technique and musicianship stem from his cross-genre studies and performance experience in Jazz, Rock, Country, Bluegrass, and Pop.</p><p>Nick has played at venues large and small throughout New York, such as The Bitter End, Highline Ballroom, Rockwood Music Hall, Avoca NYC, The Raven, and Horns Hook Tavern. He is a regular featured summer performer at both Bird on a Roof and Marlena’s Pack Out in Montauk and Springs Tavern &amp; Grill in East Hampton, where he covers a wide range of artists spanning several decades and genres. In addition to his professional work, Nick is currently writing and recording his first album. <p><span style="font-weight:400">Often referred to as “The Hendrix of the Sahara”, Vieux Farka Touré was born in Niafunké, Mali in 1981. He is the son of legendary Malian guitar player Ali Farka Touré, who died in 2006. Ali Farka Touré came from a historical tribe of soldiers, and defied his parents in becoming a musician. When Vieux was in his teens, he declared that he also wanted to be a musician. His father disapproved due to the pressures he had experienced being a musician. Rather, he wanted Vieux to become a soldier. But with help from family friend the kora maestro Toumani Diabaté, Vieux eventually convinced his father to give him his blessing to become a musician shortly before Ali passed.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Vieux was initially a drummer / calabash player at Mali’s Institut National des Arts, but secretly began playing guitar in 2001. Ali Farka Touré was weakened with cancer when Vieux announced that he was going to record an album. Ali recorded a couple of tracks with him, and these recordings, which can be heard on Vieux’s debut CD, were amongst his final ones. It has been said that the senior Touré played rough mixes of these songs when people visited him in his final days, at peace with, and proud of, his son’s talent as a musician.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2005, Eric Herman (still Vieux’s manager today) of Modiba Productions expressed an interest in producing an album for Vieux; this led to Vieux’s self-titled debut album, released by World Village in 2007. Ali Farka Touré’s work to tackle the problem of malaria is continued as 10% of proceeds are donated to Modiba’s “Fight Malaria” campaign in Niafunké through which over 3000 mosquito nets have been delivered to children and pregnant women in the Timbuktu region of Mali. On this first album, Vieux pays homage to his father and follows Ali’s musical tradition, giving new versions of the West African music that is echoed in the American blues. The album features Toumani Diabaté, as well as his late father.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">On his second record, Fondo on Six Degrees (2009), Vieux branched out and presented his own sound: while remaining true to the roots of his father’s music he uses elements of rock, Latin music, and other African influences. The album received a great deal of critical acclaim from across the globe, and Vieux was clearly moving out of his father’s shadow.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">By June 2010, Vieux was performing at the opening concert for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. That month Vieux also released his first live album, LIVE. His live performances are highly energized and Vieux is known for dazzling crowds with his speed and dexterity on the guitar, as well as his palpable charisma and luminous smile, both of which captivate audiences from all audiences in spite of any language barriers (though Vieux does speak 8 languages).</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2011 Vieux released his 3rd studio album, The Secret, so named because the listener will hear the secret of the blues with a blend of generations from father to son. It was produced by guitarist Eric Krasno (of the Soulive trio) and features South African-born vocalist Dave Matthews, Derek Trucks on electric slide guitar and jazz guitarist John Scofield. The title track is the last collaboration between Vieux and his late father. With the heralded release of The Secret, Vieux Farka Touré has clearly established himself as one of the world’s rare musical talents and guitar virtuosos with a distinct style that always pays homage to the past while looking towards the future.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Vieux released The Tel Aviv Session (Cumbancha) in April 2012, a collaborative project with Israeli superstar Idan Raichel dubbed ‘The Touré-Raichel Collective’ that has been hailed by fans and critics alike as a masterpiece and one of the best collaborative albums in the history of international music, drawing comparisons to Ali Farka Touré and Ry Cooder’s legendary Talking Timbuktu album.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2013, Vieux Farka Touré’s beautiful and critically acclaimed album Mon Pays was released as an homage to his homeland. Being that his native Mali had recently been splintered by territorial fighting between Tuareg and Islamic rebels since January 2012, Mon Pays was devoted to reminding the world about the beauty and culture of his native Mali. Translated as ‘My Country,’ this predominantly acoustic undertaking transformed into an artifact of cultural preservation. Two songs on the project - ‘Future’ and ‘Peace’ feature Sidiki Diabate’s kora leading an emotional charge complemented by Touré’s spectacular guitar work. Both tracks represent an important generational “passing of the torch” as Sidiki’s father, Toumani is considered one of the greatest living kora masters and was a close friend of Vieux’s father Ali. Mon Pays has been widely hailed as the most mature and lovely record yet from one of this generation’s most exciting artists to come out of Mali and one of world music’s true rising stars.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Vieux reunited with Idan Raichel in Paris to record, release and subsequently tour their 2nd collaborative album as The Touré-Raichel Collective in 2014. The result was yet another musical and critical triumph, titled &#39;The Paris Session&#39; (Cumbancha) revered by many as not just a musical gem for the ages, but a powerful testimonial to the power of art and fraternity to transcend vast cultural and political divides. In 2015, Vieux released another unexpected, genre-bending collaborative album, this time with New York-based singer Julia Easterlin, aptly titled &#39;Touristes&#39;. The album shot to the top of the iTunes World chart and earned critical acclaim, including that of John Schaefer (NPR) who called it &#34;brilliant.&#34; On April 7, 2017, Vieux released his next album &#39;Samba&#39;, recorded live in front of a small audience at Applehead Studio in Woodstock, NY.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">When the COVID pandemic hit in 2020 and all touring ground to a halt, Vieux stayed focussed on his craft at home. He worked tirelessly in the studio he built at his family&#39;s compound (which he named &#39;Studio Ali Farka Toure&#39; in honor of his late father) to record his debut album for World Circuit Records/BMG, the prestigious UK-based record label with whom his father recorded and released most of his own work. The resulting album, &#39;Les Racines&#39; (released June 2022), sees Vieux masterfully return to the deep roots of the Desert Blues music that his father introduced to the world and Vieux spent most of his career to date exploring, experimenting with, and expanding. 2022 also saw the release of a long-awaited collaborative album between Vieux and Houston-based psych-rock superstars Khruangbin called ‘Ali’ - an album on which the artists join forces to pay homage to Ali Farka Toure by reimagining eight of his songs together.  The album was an instant hit around the globe, immediately getting millions of streams, enormous critical acclaim and even earning the praise of Sir Elton John who called it &#34;one of the albums of the year - absolutely wonderful music.&#34; With each new project Vieux broadens his horizons, embraces new challenges and further entrenches his reputation as one of the world’s most talented and innovative musicians.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">As a passionate champion for the people of Mali and The Sahel, Vieux founded the charity Amahrec Sahel in 2012. As part of Amahrec Sahel’s mission to support humanitarian reconstruction and culture, the charity has provided school supplies for children, supported an orphanage in Bamako and provided musical instruments for young musicians in Mali. Vieux is also the director of The Ali Farka Touré Foundation, an international organization dedicated to the preservation of Ali’s legacy and the cultural growth of Mali.</span></p>

<p>They said it couldn’t be done. Four different songwriters joining forces to form a single band? There was simply no precedent (outside of CSNY, The Beatles, The Traveling Wilburys, The Highwaymen, Monsters of Folk, etc). And yet Fantastic Cat did it anyway, defying the odds and teaming up to record their highly unanticipated 2022 debut, The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat. <div><div><p>Americana and roots singer-songwriter Jackie Greene is a jack-of-all-trades, and an artist who can croon over soulful piano ballads as much as he can shred a bluesy guitar solo (like he did as the lead guitarist for The Black Crowes in 2013). A road warrior and musician&#39;s musician, Greene&#39;s new EP &#39;The Modern Lives - Vol 2&#39; (out October 2018 on Blue Rose Music) finds him at a new chapter in his life: his first months of fatherhood, time off his relentless touring circuit, and a cross-country move from Brooklyn to his birthplace of Northern California. </p><p>This new collection of six original songs is a thematic extension of &#39;The Modern Lives - Vol 1&#39; EP (released in 2017 on Blue Rose Music), imbued with a Brooklyn basement DIY feel and ethos. He is a student of American music, transfixed upon its progression through time, as well as how regional sounds fit in a contemporary context. Whereas &#39;Vol 1&#39; saw Greene experiment with the Delta blues as a canvas for his examinations of modern society, &#39;Vol 2&#39; sees Greene embrace the sounds of the bluegrass and folk tapes of his youth.</p><p>Lead single &#34;Crazy Comes Easy&#34; showcases Greene&#39;s dynamic, multi-instrumental range as he plays slide guitar, organ, bass, and percussion, the guitar licks an appreciative nod to his time in The Black Crowes. Meanwhile, &#34;Good Old Bad Times&#34; highlights Greene as the songwriter as he rattles off lines like &#34;How can somebody find a future? / If they ain&#39;t got a foothold in the past?&#34; while taking a critical eye to the idea of nostalgia. Piano ballad &#34;Victim Of The Crime&#34; was one of Jackie&#39;s oldest demos up until the feel of these sessions gave him the tools to finish a song that, in his words, was written for his wife before she was his wife. While the title possesses a kind of melodrama, the song itself is tender and heartfelt as he details love&#39;s trials and tribulations.  </p><p>Greene partnered with Academy Award-nominated &#34;king of indie animation&#34; Bill Plympton for a series of music videos for &#39;The Modern Lives - Vol 1&#39; that would eventually become an animated short film titled &#39;The Modern Lives&#39;. The film is currently making the rounds at film festivals where it has already won the Jury Award at the USA Film Festival in Dallas, TX, and the Grand Remi Award / Best in Show at WorldFest in Houstin, TX. The short is also being exhibited at the 71st Festival de Cannes/Court Metrage, Melbourne International Animation Festival, and ASIFA-East Festival, amongst others.</p></div></div><div><div></div></div><div><div><p>Since the release of his critically-acclaimed debut album &#39;Gone Wanderin’&#39;, Greene has built an enduring audience through a relentless touring schedule with the likes of BB King, Mark Knopfler, Susan Tedeschi, and Taj Mahal. He played lead guitar with The Black Crowes on their Layin’ Down With #13 World Tour, recorded and toured with Trigger Hippy - his supergroup with Joan Osborne - and in the last four years performed over 300 shows of his own, all while continuing to record and release his solo work. <p>It’s dangerous to put Illiterate Light in a box, especially with the release of their new album, <em>Arches</em>. Are they a guitar-driven indie rock duo? Kaleidoscopic neo-psychedelia? Synth-kissed, harmony-laden folk? What does one do with an album beginning with “fake tits and diet coke,” then pivoting to train derailments in rural Ohio and never-ending black holes? These prolific farmers-turned-rockers have captured the energy of their live shows—fans crowd-surfing, moshing, crying, and crooning—and infused it into their latest release.</p><p>“We’ve always been shape shifters, moving between heavy, dark distortion and gentle sweet fingerpicking, writing aggressive songs, introspective songs, and love songs, exploding and embracing,” reflects singer-guitarist Jeff Gorman. “Smashing it all together used to feel strange, but now there&#39;s a glue between everything we do. Our fans get it. They care less about genre. All they care about is feeling. And that’s all we care about. Are you alive or not?”</p><p>Illiterate Light’s third album, <em>Arches</em>, is not a passageway but an arrival. “We’re no longer striving to define a sound,” said drummer Jake Cochran. “We’re leaning into sides of ourselves that have felt off-limits, sticking to what feels right rather than concerning ourselves with comparison.” Out November 1 via Thirty Tigers, the record is bursting with thunderous anthems, biting lyrics, and lush harmonies.</p><p>The band originated in the Shenandoah Valley in 2015 when multi-instrumentalists Gorman and Cochran began playing music together while working on an organic farm. Eventually, they left the farm to focus on music, adopting the moniker Illiterate Light from a Wilco lyric. After several years of non-stop touring, they signed with Atlantic Records and released their eponymous full-length debut in late 2019. Two years later, they signed with Thirty Tigers and, in 2023, issued their critically acclaimed LP, <em>Sunburned</em>. Shortly after, they released two additional EPs, making <em>Arches</em> their fourth release in two years.</p><p><em>Arches</em> was recorded in two very different locations: small-town Appalachia at Gorman’s home studio and Hollywood, CA at Sunset Sound with producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, Beck, The Killers). “We wanted the best of both worlds,” says Gorman. “We spent several days with Joe at Sunset. To record vocals in the same live room as so many of my heroes—Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Dylan—was unreal. I knew I was in a holy place.” The LA session was paired with sessions in Virginia, where Gorman and Cochran co-produced the bulk of the record with longtime collaborator Danny Gibney. In their hometown, they experimented with soaring instrumental journeys and had friends sit in on the sessions to keep things lively.</p><p>“Having our community stop by the sessions kept us on our toes—we haven’t been able to do that in the past. It helped connect us to the feeling of our live show,” recalls Cochran. Illiterate Light’s live performances, described by the Washington Post as “massive,” feature Gorman on one foot, hammering bass on a foot-pedal synth, shredding big guitar riffs, and spitting out song after song while Cochran matches Gorman harmony for harmony, dancing with his standing drum kit, teetering on the edge of the stage only to dive head first into his next solo.</p><p><em>Arches</em> is the closest you can get to their live show, with heavier songs like “I Ride Alone” and “Bloodlines” encapsulating the best of the writhing, uninhibited front-row experience. The keystone of the album, “Norfolk Southern,” crashes in with Gorman belting, “Here comes the Norfolk Southern / It&#39;s off the tracks / and heading for you,” with Cochran chanting, “break, break, break, break” to the ghost of the train that derailed in 2023 in East Palestine, Ohio, releasing 10,000 gallons of hazardous materials into the atmosphere. The song also serves as a metaphor for Gorman’s own turbulent feelings. “I certainly wanted to shine a light on the environmental catastrophe. But strangely, some days I feel just like that Norfolk Southern, barreling out of control at warp speed.”</p><p>Gorman lets the lyrics take control. Showing up relentlessly, day after day, to his home studio dubbed “The Bookhouse” (a tribute to David Lynch&#39;s <em>Twin Peaks</em>), he can’t predict what will arise. For the album&#39;s first track, “Payphone,” the opening lyrics were a surprise to Gorman: “Fake tits and diet coke / Full of undefeated hope / You are the only one I trust.” The jangly and groovy album opener is a pep talk between a woman named Big Red and her man as he faces crippling self-doubt and is self-medicating. She comforts him during a time of despair on a phone call that continues to drop.</p><p>Another relationship study, “Montauk,” is a cold beachside dance under the full moon inspired by the central question in Gorman’s favorite movie, <em>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind</em>. “Do we go for it again—even though we&#39;re destined to fail?” he asks. “For me, the answer is a resounding yes.”</p><p>“All the Stars Are Burning Out” continues in that reflective vein. “It’s a throwback song, about getting high, going for a drive, dreaming up your future. You’re looking at that wide open black sky of bright stars, and they’re so beautiful and inspiring, and they make you want to follow your dreams. And yet all those stars eventually burn out. It’s a song about going for it even though life is impermanent and full of change,” Gorman said.</p><p>The saying goes, “arches never sleep.” Designed to distribute weight evenly, arches naturally rebalance as the structure around them shifts over time. <p>3 Decades Rewind is a thematic Rock Band based out of Brooklyn, NY. The band was formed almost twenty years ago with remaining band members Jimmy Kuhn (keyboardist) and David Katzman( guitar player and singer ) and ten years ago welcoming Apoena Frota (singer and bass player), Andre Vasconcelos( lead guitarist and singer) both graduates from the Berklee College of Music, and Dorsey Sky Parker (drummer) after touring with Jefferson Starship.</p><p>In addition to playing sold-out shows in NYC at the Cutting Room, and residencies at The Red Lion and Bar 55, they often perform at casinos in the NY Tri-State area including Wind River Casino (Bethlehem, PA), Tioga Downs Casino (Upstate New York) and Turning Stone (Syracuse, NY).</p><p>The band has performed at the annual benefit for the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) for the last three years, as well as for the New York University Alumni Weekend’s sold-out show in October at the Cutting Room.</p><p>Every summer, they participate in the NYC Outdoor Summer Concert series on Park Avenue in Manhattan.</p><p>The band is well known for shows such as “A Beatles Tribute Night”, “The Beatles Meet the Queen”, “The 50th Anniversary of Woodstock,” and most recently, the “No 90s Show—A Twenty-Five Year History of Rock and Roll: 1964-1989,” often times playing with their two female vocalists. <p>In the past year, Lina and Dean stepped into the East End music scene as an acoustic duo with a self-produced EP and as the Lina Maxine five piece band performing across Long Island and in the City. Their new music set to release in the fall of 2025, features Lina&#39;s husky voice in harmony with Dean&#39;s tenor, blending rock and folk instrumental styles influenced by Fleetwood Mac, Kacey Musgraves, and Kings of Leon. With lyrics touching on hope and the dream state, Lina Maxine&#39;s new record promises an ethereal groove to the sun setting on Montauk Highway.</p>

<p>King Yellowman <br />Jamaica&#39;s first dancehall superstar, Yellowman ushered in a new era in reggae music following Bob Marley&#39;s death. His early-&#39;80s success <br />brought the popularity of toasting -- the reggae equivalent of rapping -- to a whole new level, and helped establish dancehall as the wave of the <br />future. For better or for worse, he also epitomized dancehall&#39;s penchant for &#34;slack&#34; lyrics -- that is, casual violence, sexism, homophobia, and <br />general rudeness. Graphic sexuality was his particular forte, reaching levels of explicitness previously unheard in Jamaica. It brought him <br />numerous detractors, but it was also a big reason for his early popularity. There was more to it than that, though; Yellowman was one of the most <br />verbally nimble toasters of his time, with a loose, easy flow, a talent for improvisation, and a definite wit in his wordplay. Plus, all the boasting <br />about his prowess on the mic or in the bedroom had to be over the top to be convincing: true to his stage name, Yellowman is an albino, which <br />carries a tremendous social stigma in Jamaica. His rise to stardom was unlikely enough, but his transformation from untouchable outcast into <br />sex symbol was staggering -- and may not even have taken place without his trademark lewdness. Shocking though it could be, it affirmed him <br />as a sexual being just like his listeners, and was delivered with enough humor to let the audience know that he didn&#39;t take himself too seriously. <br />Bouts with cancer pushed him into more thoughtful, socially conscious territory in the 1990s, but his initial style remains the most influential, <br />paving the way for countless dancehall toasters to follow. He remained quiet through most of the 2000s before mounting a comeback with 2019&#39;s <br />No More War. <br />Yellowman was born Winston Foster in Negril, Jamaica, in 1959 (some accounts say 1956). An early target for abuse because of his albinism, <br />he grew up in an institution in Kingston, with little to keep him company besides music. Influenced by early toasting DJs like U-Roy, he practiced <br />rhyming and got a job with the Gemini Sound System as a substitute DJ. Christening himself Yellowman and dressing in a bright yellow suit, he <br />peppered his lyrics with jokes about his skin color and outlandish tales of his sexual conquests. In 1979, he won a landslide victory at the <br />well-known Tastee Talent Contest, and within months he had become one of Jamaica&#39;s top concert draws, thanks to a dynamic, humorous stage <br />show in which he often used the microphone to mimic his anatomical gifts. <br />Yellowman recorded prolifically in the early &#39;80s, at one point flooding the Jamaican market with more than 40 singles. His first full-length album, <br />Them a Mad Over Me, was recorded for Channel One in 1981 and featured the hit title track and the single &#34;Me Kill Barnie,&#34; an answer record to <br />Lone Ranger&#39;s hit &#34;Barnabas Collins.&#34; He also scored with singles like &#34;Operation Eradication&#34; and the infamously slack &#34;Shorties,&#34; which Peter <br />Tosh condemned as degrading to women (hardly the first time such a criticism would be leveled at him). Despite this success, Yellowman didn&#39;t <br />truly hit his stride on record until he hooked up with groundbreaking dancehall producer Henry &#34;Junjo&#34; Lawes. The 1982 LP Mister Yellowman <br />kicked off their collaboration; released internationally by Greensleeves, it started to break him in the U.K. and U.S., and is still often acclaimed as <br />his best album. It also launched a series of Jamaican hit singles over the next few years that included &#34;Yellowman Getting Married&#34; (a rewrite of <br />the My Fair Lady number &#34;I&#39;m Getting Married in the Morning&#34;), &#34;Mr. Chin,&#34; &#34;Who Can Make the Dance Ram&#34; (a rewrite of &#34;The Candy Man&#34;), <br />&#34;Zungguzungguguzungguzeng&#34; (sampled by several hip-hop acts), &#34;The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,&#34; &#34;Soldier Take Over,&#34; &#34;Nobody Move <br />Nobody Get Hurt,&#34; and &#34;Wreck a Pum Pum,&#34; among others. Many of his recordings during this era featured vocal contributions from fellow <br />DJ/toaster Fathead, whose specialty was punctuating lines with animal noises (&#34;ribbit&#34; and &#34;oink&#34; were his favorites). <br />After 1983&#39;s Zungguzungguguzungguzeng album, Yellowman signed a major-label deal with CBS Records, which encouraged him to maintain <br />the stylistic versatility of his previous work. However, his lone album for the label, 1984&#39;s King Yellowman, sported mixed results, attempting <br />everything from slack toasts to R&amp;B and pop-tinged crossover tracks, including covers of &#34;Sea Cruise&#34; and &#34;Take Me Home Country Roads,&#34; and <br />the much-maligned fusion attempt &#34;Disco Reggae.&#34; He subsequently released several albums on Shanachie, including 1984&#39;s Nobody Move <br />Nobody Get Hurt, 1985&#39;s Galong Galong Galong, 1986&#39;s Going to the Chapel, and 1987&#39;s Don&#39;t Burn It Down. The latter found him delving <br />more into social consciousness; the title cut was a pro-marijuana protest, while &#34;Stop Beat Woman&#34; condemned domestic violence and &#34;Free <br />Africa&#34; criticized apartheid. Around the same time, he suffered a bout with cancer that required the removal of part of his jaw, leaving him facially <br />disfigured. Always a fighter, he nonetheless returned to action with the hit Fats Domino cover &#34;Blueberry Hill,&#34; and moved to the Ras label to <br />record the well-received Yellow Like Cheese album with producer Philip &#34;Fatis&#34; Burrell. <br />Yellowman&#39;s recording career continued apace, as his sexual boasts and gay jokes kept getting raunchier and nastier. His popularity had slipped <br />after 1985, due in part to less consistent material, and also in part to the emergence of a legion of new dancehall artists, many of whom harked <br />back to his early material for inspiration. Things changed, however, after an early-&#39;90s bout with skin cancer. Greatly shaken after this second <br />life-threatening illness, Yellowman completely rethought his approach to music, and thereafter devoted himself almost exclusively to spiritual and <br />social concerns. 1994&#39;s Prayer album (still on Ras) was the first effort in this new direction, and it was followed quickly by Message to the <br />World in 1995. 1997&#39;s Freedom of Speech continued in a similar vein, after which Yellowman switched over to the Artists Only label. His first <br />effort was 1999&#39;s Yellow Fever, which concentrated on conscious reggae but also featured some good-natured party tracks. Following the 2003 <br />release of New York, Yellowman entered a lengthy recording hiatus, though he continued to perform live. <br />In 2019, 16 years after his last album, he returned with No More War. The LP was the inaugural release on Yellow Baby Records, a label <br />launched by Yellowman&#39;s daughter K&#39;reema, with whom he also collaborates.</p>

<p>When you hear Annie Trezza it&#39;s often hard to believe that all that sound comes out of one person. With groovy guitar riffs, 60&#39;s inspired melodies, and transportive lyrics, she projects an energy well beyond her size. Upon listening to Dylan and Beatles records on repeat at a young age, she felt compelled to pick up a guitar and start writing her own tunes at age 14. She spends her summers playing all around her home in Montauk, NY. In the off-season when she&#39;s not chasing the waves she&#39;s writing new music, and continuing to play anywhere in the world she finds herself. Between her distinctive voice and her poetic lyrics, it&#39;s hard not to get a little carried away when listening to any of her tunes. And that&#39;s okay because that&#39;s exactly what they&#39;re meant to do. With an album to follow, her EP Blue Suitcase #2 was released December 2019.</p>

Either individually or as a band, they have worked with artists such as Taylor Dayne, Orquesta Alquimia, Steel Pulse, Mila Tina, GE Smith, Big Karma, Mambo Loco, and Bajo Suen?os. As these performances and legacy demonstrate, they firmly believe in providing a platform and a strong voice for the Latin community.</p><p>That incredible experience on stage and unique understanding of the musical journey that their audiences are on, is also driving them towards the studio and an album recording that is eagerly anticipated by their fans. <p>Nancy Atlas and her band of Journeymen have been dominating the East End Music scene or Long Island for quite some time. Known for her raw, live performances and stellar songwriting Nancy and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have opened for almost everyone under the sun. To name a few: Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills and Nash… the list goes on and on. The reason is simple. When people want a solid act to open their show and get the crowd warmed up, they call  Nancy and her boys because they know they will deliver. Every time.<br />Nancy grew up with gypsy blood in Commack, NY. Eager to get the buck out of dodge she spent her entire college years abroad at both Cambridge University in England and Richmond College in London and Florence.  She majored in art history, fine art, drinking lots of wine and talking shit. There was a serious recession going on the year she graduated college so instead of becoming a mad advertising executive she walked down to Portabello Road, London, bought a guitar for 60 quid and never looked back. It was pouring buckets of English rain that day so they gave her a black plastic bag to cover her guitar as it didn’t come with a case. Nothing, it is said, can stop true desire.<br />Nancy now lives in Montauk, New York with her husband Thomas and her two sons, Cash and Levon, and her daughter Tallulah. When she is not writing a song or on stage rocking out, she can be found clamming with her kids, surfing with her kids, walking with her kids, reading with her kids or <a href="http://nancyatlas.com/?page_id&#61;285">cartooning</a> for her kids. <p>TAKE 3…OUR HISTORY <br />Lucas Magnozzi started taking guitar lessons with guitarist and musical mentor  Bill Fowkes in 2022. Lucas was 13 and the guitar lessons, over time, turned into jam sessions. Lucas went from being Bill&#39;s guitar student to Bill&#39;s musical partner and future bandmate.</p><p>After 1 year of lessons and a lot of hard work, Lucas was ready for his first gig. In April, 2024 Lucas and Bill performed an acoustic set at a local art gallery. It was a hit! They continued to play gigs at farmers markets, graduation parties, birthday parties, and barbecues.</p><p>In mid 2024, Lucas met Natalia Rahim at  East End Arts, a music and arts program sponsored by The East End Arts Council. There, Natalia and Lucas were members of two different bands. Lucas’ band had just won first place at the Southampton Battle of the Bands and Natalia’s band was runner-up.</p><p>Natalia, Bill and Lucas started rehearsing and TAKE 3 was formed. Natalia became an immediate addition, adding an angelic and wide ranging voice to the duo of Bill and Lucas. The band started performing at private parties, and music store events on the East End of Long Island.</p><p>TAKE 3 blends the guitar skills of 16 year old Lucas Magnozzi with the musicianship and musical experience of guitarist Bill Fowkes and the smooth and versatile voice of Natalia Rahim. TAKE 3 plays the songs that span many decades of rock n roll for a musical nite to remember.</p><p>The magic behind TAKE 3 is that the band reinterprets rock n roll songs that you have heard countless times. The arrangements are for two acoustic guitars and a female voice. The songs incorporate bass lines, jazz chords, lead playing and innovative vocals and harmonies. The net effect is that the interplay between the guitars and vocals is very prominent. The three musician format makes the songs transparent, light and musical….all the while still keeping the groove. Because if it doesn’t groove, they don’t play it!</p>

<p>A longtime actor of the stage and silver screen, a chance encounter with The Lone Bellow&#39;s lead vocalist Brian Elmquist a few years back persuaded him to take his guitar from Hollywood to Nashville, where he has been crafting a sound equal parts Americana, Southern Rock and Country. Shawn has released a number of songs including &#34;Hell If I Know&#34;, &#34;Disco Ball Blues&#34; and &#34;Grateful&#34;, produced by Elmquist and featuring a unique sound -- with echoes of icons and influences like Sturgill Simpson and J.J. Cale -- blended by Parsons in smoky barrooms from Alabama to the Catskills. The result is a sonic tapestry woven from a Southern upbringing, a respect for karma, and an unyielding conviction that it&#39;s never too late. This will be Shawn and his band&#39;s debut at The Talkhouse. </p>

This isn&#39;t your father&#39;s party band; Dizzy is sophisticated, creative and locked in with clever mashups, arrangements and pinpoint covers of anything from Lady Gaga to Matchbox Twenty to The Chainsmokers to Tom Petty, and just about everything in between. <p>Born and raised on the beautiful island of Anguilla, Omari Banks found his musical calling at a young age when he first took the stage in Milan, Italy to sing alongside his father Bankie Banx . The emotions conveyed through music touched his heart and a star was born.</p><p>Founding his inspiration through an eclectic genre of music, Omari went on to perfect his craft by writing and becoming a proficient guitar player. The budding star went on to win multiple talent shows but as a teenager turned his attention to the sport of Cricket, where he excelled first locally, then regionally and ultimately on the world stage. Omari Banks became the first Anguillan to play test cricket for the West Indies. In 2010, Omari made the decision to move on and pursue his passion for music. With a lifetime of experiences and life lessons, he immersed himself in songwriting and perfecting his musicianship. He dedicated himself to his music and created his debut album, “Move On” recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and Houston, Texas.</p><p>With a simple musical mission, to spread messages of love and consciousness, his assimilation of traditional Jamaican Reggae music, accentuated with Rock and Blues backbeats, is an adult contemporary fusion that blends seamlessly with Lovers Rock and R ‘n’ B. <p>The Dog Watchers formed in 2015 from the remnants of various east end musical projects. The band consists entirely of local musicians from around East Hampton and Sag Harbor. Focusing on a broad range of covers from the golden age of the 60&#39;s &amp; 70&#39;s, as well newer material. The goal is to surprise and entertain with songs you know &amp; love, ones you may have not heard in a while along with ones that may be new to you. The band members are Michael Rusinsky on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Anthony Liberatore on Vocals and Guitar, Toby VanKeuren on Drums and Bob Charney on Bass. There were frequently dogs present in the studio during rehearsals and that&#39;s how the band got it&#39;s name. Repertoire includes songs from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Springsteen, The Decemberists, Steve Earle, The Band and many more. The band has played various venues all over the east end including The Stephen Talkhouse, Guild Hall as well as numerous private parties and benefits. </p>

<p>It feels good to be right. We crave the satisfaction, the ease. But what about when you&#39;re not so sure? When you&#39;re unsteady, angry, swayable, and doing your damned best anyway?</p><p>There&#39;s something refreshingly humane about that uncertainty; about having the guts to try, even if you might be wrong. This is the central tenant of <strong>Humbird&#39;s </strong>third full-length album<strong>, <em>Right On</em></strong>, a radical ethos in this soap-box age, and an effort worth turning up the amps for, resulting in the project&#39;s most electric, playful, mettled record yet.</p><p><strong>Siri Undlin </strong>(the songwriter behind the moniker) and her collaborators tracked live and to tape over the course of two muggy weeks in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. For a collection of songs unafraid of ambiguity, it&#39;s music that bares its teeth. Anger and dismay sizzle in response to current events. Heartbreak feels like sandpaper, while wildflowers bob and sway in an ever-expanding universe.</p><p>Produced by <strong>Shane Leonard </strong>and featuring regular contributors <strong>Pat Keen (bass, synth, percussion) and Pete Quirsfeld (drums and percussion)</strong>, the majority of the songs showcase the locked-in rock trio, a progression from the contemplative folk musings of Undlin&#39;s previous releases. Even so, <em>Right On </em>incorporates friendly winks to the more whimsical, soundscape-y improvisations that audiences have come to expect from a Humbird performance – electrified, gritty, Midwest Americana with a little magic fairy dust thrown in.</p><p>&#34;Right On,&#34; the title track and first song of the album, opens the record with a tone of resigned tenacity. <em>&#39;I&#39;m not mad, but I should be / since true love proved unlucky / I cast the dye, I stained my hands / on wrongful judgments and half-baked plans</em>.&#39; As the song moves through time and space, &#34;being wrong&#34; feels less and less like a failure, and instead transforms into guiding wisdom. The warm tremolo of the guitar maps along the grooves of the rhythm section, creating an atmosphere of inviting imperfection, a clever catalyst for the chorus&#39; simple melody to launch and land right in the tender part of your sternum.</p><p>Other notable tracks include &#34;Child Of Violence,&#34; complete with psych-rock phaser pedals, which explores the legacy and impact of white supremacy in middle America; &#34;Cornfields and Roadkill&#34; focuses in on land stolen for profit, and old-growth forests traded for mono-crops in a sonic landscape reminiscent of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. &#34;Song For The Seeds&#34; is a slow-burning synth number, imploring the listener to tear up their lawn. It wields a refrain that will germinate in your mind – a proper earworm.</p><p>Through observation and deft questioning, the lyrics land less like a political agenda and more like a hard conversation with a friend. All the while, you can hear the summertime pace where the recording took place, and the steady confidence of songs that have already traveled many miles on the road.</p><p>And those miles – they&#39;re hard-earned. For Undlin, growing up steeped in church choirs and traditional Irish ensembles eventually led to conducting extensive folklore and musical research around the world as a Watson Fellow. That work inspired years of DIY touring around North America, including performing around the twin cities one backyard at a time during the pandemic. Undlin continues to expand and experiment as a writer and bandleader in a way that is fluid with each season, and oddly suited for this particular moment. Following the surprise success of the self-released debut album <em>Pharmakon </em>and the pensive reflections of 2021&#39;s <em>Still Life</em>, <em>Right On </em>is the next iteration in her process of witnessing the world in all its complexity and responding with candid consideration.</p><p>For loyal fans and new listeners alike, <em>Right On </em>is a mischievously kind offering: a whole heap of songs that are unafraid to bask in the perfectly ordinary and also excruciating possibility that sometimes we&#39;re right, often we&#39;re wrong, but no matter what, music can meet us where we&#39;re at and keep us company along the way.</p>

<p>Back in the 90’s, the American reggae scene contained only a fraction of the bands it does today. The majority of touring acts came from either Jamaica or Africa, but there were a handful of American bands throughout the country playing local shows. In New York City, one of the most popular bands to frequent the fabled downtown venues like <strong>Wetlands, The Lion’s Den, CBGB </strong>and<strong> The Ritz </strong>was<strong> Skadanks.</strong></p><p>In 1986, Skadanks, was founded in New York City by Bassist <strong>Alex Valenti</strong> and Vocalist <strong>Rocker-T</strong> and were soon joined by Keyboardist <strong>Ricky Tepperberg</strong>, Drummer <strong>Cliff “Q-Liff” Simpson</strong>, Guitarist <strong>James Yarish</strong> and Percussionist <strong>Ras Num</strong>. Soon after, Yarish left the group and was replaced by <strong>JJ Sansaverino</strong> and the unfortunate passing of Ras Num left the band in its current lineup to today.</p><p>In 1991 Skadanks were discovered by hip hop legend <strong>KRS-One</strong> who produced their 12” single <strong>“Whole World African”</strong>. <p>Nora Conlon is a native of Springs who has been playing gigs on the east end of Long Island and in NYC since high school. She is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, and is working on her craft as a producer and audio engineer at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU, where she just finished her Junior year. With a sound inspired by artists such as Mitski, Jeff Buckley, Hozier, Madison Cunningham, and Big Thief, she has an eclectic style that melds folk and alternative rock with unique melodies influenced by tropes of Irish folk music. She likes to work with unexpected chord progressions and has a voice that has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, and Sinead O’Connor. </p><p>Nora released her first single “Cut It Out” on all streaming platforms in September from Berlin where she did her semester abroad. Over the past year, Nora has been prolifically writing new music and has been compiling her favorites in anticipation of putting out an EP soon! She’ll be spending her next semester continuing to hone her skills as an artist, songwriter, and engineer at the Clive Davis Institute.</p>

Her love for electronic music took off when she started exploring the nightlife scene, drawn to artists like Modern Machines and The Chainsmokers, whose festival performances inspired her to start DJing. Specializing in house and tech house, as well as bringing elements of drum &amp; bass and afro house to her sets, creating high-energy, immersive experiences. She has played throughout the Tampa Bay area (St.Pete), NYC, and Hamptons. With a deep love for curating unforgettable musical experiences, she brings a dynamic and versatile approach to every set keeping the crowd moving by blending genres seamlessly to create an atmosphere that resonates with the audience. </p>

Initially starting in 2019 as a group of high schoolers jamming in the basement of their drummer Dan Stark, they’ve grown to do shows across the East End and up-island. Their sound combines blues and jam band influences with the energy of 90s/00s punk and pop. At the heart of this is the lead guitar duo of Grayson Fox and Jack Oats who complement each other’s playing and drive them to new, sonic heights, while Vinny Palermo holds it down on bass. Concert-goers should be ready for a night of impassioned improvisations combined with uptempo sing-alongs. In the stillness of the album writing process, she sifted through her scrapbook of travels, and created a Huck Finn-spirited collection of story-rich heartland rock songs brimming with adventure, and personal reflection.</p><p>Inda’s warm humor, free-spirited emotionality, and literate flair make her songs feel as comfy as a favorite pair of jeans. Inda’s vocals have a whiskey and honey-tinged raspy quality that’s both stirring and soothing. Her stories and musings feel instantly resonate. Inda’s songwriting spans fist-pumping anthemics and bucolic balladeering, and it embraces a wide swath of influences, including country, classic rock, folk, and pop.</p><p>Inda’s music has been a global passport, taking her through Latin America, Australia, and Germany in her early years. There, she became something of a charming troubadour, winning over audiences with her quick wit, affable onstage connectivity, and her ability to fuse rousing hooks within a downhome roots-rock sensibility. These formative experiences have served her well in building an engaged following in the U.S.</p><p>Inda has toured in various configurations throughout America, both as a captivating solo performer and a powerful bandleader with a trusted posse of ace musicians. Select live highlights include opening for noted names like John Hiatt, Blues Traveler, Earl Scruggs, Hootie and the Blowfish, LeAnn Rimes, Shemekia Copeland, and Molly Hatchet. Additional performance highlights include tours for American Society of Young Musicians and VH1’s Save the Music Program.</p><p>Inda has been a fixture on the CMJ alternative charts, earned an AFIM “Best Independent Album” nomination, and garnered critical industry acclaim in publications such as <em>Billboard </em>and <em>Relix.</em></p><p>Through it all, her DIY flag has flown majestically. She has her own music publishing company, Skin to the Wind Productions, and Inda has self-produced or co-produced many of her albums.</p><p>In 2010, Inda formally committed to sharing music with younger generations in school music programs with what has become <a href="http://ideastoinspire.org/">Ideas to Inspire™</a>, an arts-fostering organization that works to provide students with creative experiences through music, storytelling and self-expression. When not touring in support of her albums, Inda and her bandmates can be found traveling from one k-12 classroom to another supporting i2i programs across the country.</p><p>For album 8, however, Inda put the brakes on to ponder her winding path, thus far. “The road is a muse for me—the best way to ground ideas for me is a road trip. This album is kind of the shelter to process the trips I’ve been on,” she details.</p><p>Besides geographic travels, <em>Shelter In Place</em> is rife with coming of age themes couched in loss. Also threaded throughout the album is Inda’s multi-layered take on America. Inda was born in California and raised in Wyoming and Arizona, so one could say she deeply feels the heart of the heartland. She’s also a gay woman who married in 2011.</p><p>“I do come from the heartland, and identify so much as an American—it feels like anything is possible here. We are the best chance for hope,” Inda says.  “I just get upset when we can’t get along.”</p>
