Buoyed by hits like &#34;King Without a Crown,&#34; albums like</p><p>the Grammy-nominated and Billboard No.1-ranked Youth in 2006, and the Gold-certified</p><p>2009 antiwar hit &#34;One Day&#34; (streamed over 150 million times on Spotify alone), he</p><p>toured extensively through the second half of the aughts with a high-energy stage show</p><p>that has since grown to include more improvisation. All the while his music expanded</p><p>into a shapeshifting collision of reggae, hip-hop, alt rock and boldly inventive pop.</p><p>Today, he continues to be inspired by evolving musical trends, finding linkages and</p><p>loops between eras and genres. <p>When you hear Annie Trezza it&#39;s often hard to believe that all that sound comes out of one person. With groovy guitar riffs, 60&#39;s inspired melodies, and transportive lyrics, she projects an energy well beyond her size. Upon listening to Dylan and Beatles records on repeat at a young age, she felt compelled to pick up a guitar and start writing her own tunes at age 14. She spends her summers playing all around her home in Montauk, NY. In the off-season when she&#39;s not chasing the waves she&#39;s writing new music, and continuing to play anywhere in the world she finds herself. Between her distinctive voice and her poetic lyrics, it&#39;s hard not to get a little carried away when listening to any of her tunes. And that&#39;s okay because that&#39;s exactly what they&#39;re meant to do. With an album to follow, her EP Blue Suitcase #2 was released December 2019.</p>

<p>Vincent Neil Emerson has become a staple among folk and country music fans nationwide, celebrated for his honest tales of life on the road, heartbreak, and struggles of all sorts. His first LP, <em>Fried Chicken &amp; Evil Women</em>, from 2019, established him as a refreshing voice in the modern country music landscape. The songs from that first album were charming and playful songs, but didn&#39;t reveal the entirety of Emerson&#39;s story.</p><p>On his brilliant new album, <em>The Golden Crystal Kingdom</em>, Emerson transcends the role of a honky-tonk country singer and becomes a chronicler of his history. The album is a bold continuation of the story he tells on <em>Vincent Neil Emerson</em>, with songs like the title track exploring the feelings he was left with after his days spent playing in Texas honky-tonks and dancehalls, and the track &#34;The Time of The Rambler,&#34; inspired by the early days of living in his car and busking on the streets.</p><p>He was born and partly raised in East Texas, around his Choctaw-Apache family, and spent most of his life moving around the state. Raised by a single mother, he lost his father to suicide when he was nine. Emerson dealt with those feelings of abandonment and loss on his self-titled album, with the track &#34;Learning to Drown&#34; in particular.</p><p>His grandmother and grandfather brought the family to Texas when Emerson&#39;s mother was a child, leaving their ancestral Choctaw-Apache homelands in Louisiana behind to try and build a better life for themselves and their children. Emerson always identified with his Native American roots, but it wasn&#39;t until 2021&#39;s self-titled album that he examined and tried to shed light on the devastating history of his tribe with the song &#34;Ballad of the Choctaw Apache.&#34;</p><p>Sonically, <em>The Golden Crystal Kingdom</em> finds Emerson expanding his scope into rock and roll territory, tapping into the storied sounds of folk music gone electric, and following in the footsteps of artists like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. On the album, Emerson retains his diamond-sharp storytelling while imbuing the work with a freewheeling rock and roll aesthetic, creating an album as fun as his live shows and as cathartic as his previous work.</p><p>With production from Shooter Jennings, Emerson wanted to establish some sounds as touchstones but emphasized following his own intuition for the aesthetics of his record. &#34;I didn&#39;t really want to model this record after anybody else&#39;s music, but I&#39;ve been heavily influenced by a lot of old rock and roll music from the sixties and seventies singer-songwriter music,&#34; Emerson explains.</p><p>The album wasn&#39;t necessarily created as an opposing force to the country and folk sounds his fans have come to expect, but he did want to make a record that showcased another side of himself as a writer. He also leaned on friends and collaborators like Jennings, Steve Earle, and Rodney Crowell to help him flesh out this album.</p><p>Emerson has been able to call these one-time heroes friends and mentors, and it is these relationships that have helped the songwriter find his confidence in writing about his personal history and standing up for the causes he believes in. Emerson wrote &#34;Man From Uvalde&#34; after the horrific and tragic mass shooting in the city of Uvalde, Texas, and he was initially hesitant to include the track on <em>The Golden Crystal Kingdom</em>. &#34;It&#39;s a daunting thing to try to dive into social issues in songwriting because I wasn&#39;t sure how people would really take it,&#34; Emerson says. &#34;I recorded a rough demo version of the song, and I sent it to Steve [Earle]. I just wanted to get his thoughts on it and see if it was worth anything. He got back to me, and he said he really liked the song and thought it was great. He gave me a few ideas and ways to look at the subject differently, and it really helped me finish the song. That encouragement gave me the confidence to include it on the album.&#34;</p><p><em>The Golden Crystal Kingdom</em> also pays tribute to some of the peers Emerson cut his teeth with in the music scene. He covers the Charley Crockett song, &#34;Time of the Cottonwood Trees,&#34; and is quick to pay tribute to his labelmate and dear friend Colter Wall. &#34;Those two had my back since day one. They&#39;ve been some of my biggest supporters, and they&#39;ve always inspired me to write better songs and encouraged me to pursue this,&#34; Emerson reflects. &#34;Especially at a time when I was starting out and I didn&#39;t really have a lot of encouragement or even self-confidence to do this, they were always there for me.&#34;</p><p>As a kid who grew up in a trailer with a single mother, went through bouts of homelessness as a young man, and grinded through countless shows to get where he&#39;s at, Vincent Neil Emerson is never quick to praise his own work ethic. He always refers to the friends, family members, and collaborators who have shown their faith in his vision.</p><p>But humility doesn&#39;t mean Emerson isn&#39;t one of the hardest working, most talented songwriters to emerge from the alt-country underground in years. His style is one of a kind, and his ability to blend tales of the everyman with tributes to his past, present, and future make him a peerless songwriter. On <em>The Golden Crystal Kingdom</em>, Vincent Neil Emerson carries on the torch of his singer-songwriter forebears while infusing the legacy with his unique and thrilling point of view.</p><p>Kassi Valazza:</p><p>&#34;Sometimes it takes four or five tries to realize something just isn&#39;t working,&#34; says Kassi Valazza. &#34;I wrote this after my thirteenth try.&#34; She&#39;s referring to the song &#34;Roll On&#34; specifically, but the stagnating pull of repeating patterns — and the brutalizing work of breaking them — inform every song on her new album <em>From Newman Street</em>. &#34;In songwriting and in life, you can&#39;t keep expecting the same thing to work every time.&#34;</p><p>Valazza grew up between Prescott and Phoenix, Arizona. She penned her first song at age ten but in those early efforts to perform, found herself halted by stage fright of a clinical level. &#34;I&#39;ve gone to therapy for it,&#34; she says, half-laughing. She didn&#39;t stop writing music but she let less paralyzing means of expression lead the way, eventually enrolling in arts school for painting, an illustrative instinct that inevitably reveals itself in her vivid songwriting. It wasn&#39;t until she relocated to the Pacific Northwest as an adult that Valazza picked back up the proverbial — and actual — guitar.</p><p>&#34;Zach Bryson was kind of like the honky tonk ambassador of Portland when I got there,&#34; Valazza says. &#34;He was so welcoming and encouraging.&#34; She discovered an inspiring, supportive artistic community, a less rigid relationship with musical output, and then — vocal nodules. &#34;It was actually kind of the best thing that could have happened, because I learned about the crossover of physical and mental that takes place in performance.&#34; Recovery entailed recognizing the reflexive functions of the voice in response to anxiety; as is the case throughout the human body, stress reactions can be damaging. &#34;Because I suddenly understood what was happening with my voice, I could handle it, wield it. I felt more confident.&#34; Valazza recorded an album with Bryson in an old-house-turned-studio. It was an informal, friendly endeavor, though not at all small. &#34;I think probably thirty people contributed,&#34; she says. &#34;I listen back to that album and I think &#39;this was me learning how to do this.&#39; I can hear that moment in time.&#34;</p><p>Valazza&#39;s debut <em>Dear Dead Days</em> fused the Southwest&#39;s rustic romance with the Pacific Northwest&#39;s rocky realism and garnered Valazza a cult following. She landed a deal with Fluff &amp; Gravy, a label known for launching earthy, emerging treasures like Anna Tivel and Margo Cilker, and toured with folk favorites including Melissa Carper and Riddy Arman. Her sophomore album <em>Kassi Valazza Knows Nothing </em>followed, a glimmering set of sonic talismans among Ann Powers&#39; <em>Favorite Songs of 2023</em> for NPR and Bandcamp&#39;s <em>Best Country Music of 2023</em>, with praise from KEXP, Uncut, MOJO, and Brooklyn Vegan to boot.</p><p>By the time Valazza was ready to record her third album, she had spent a decade in Portland — and that, she realized, was enough. &#34;As someone with anxiety, I always want to know what&#39;s going to happen,&#34; she says. &#34;But knowing can be limiting. Getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, that&#39;s growth. That&#39;s what this album&#39;s about, really.&#34;</p><p>On &#34;Weight of the Wheel,&#34; a weepy slide guitar underscores Valazza&#39;s listless lament: <em>All things look the same / From the pillow on my bed / I&#39;m stressed out I&#39;m far away / There&#39;s dizzy dancing in my head.</em> The song sounds like urgency, grief, surrender, and embrace — all at once. <em>It&#39;s feeling like some kind of fight to outgrow / The way I fear slowing down before I&#39;m old</em>. By 2022, that dizzy demise of cyclical living had set Valazza still — in a basement apartment there in Portland. &#34;You&#39;re going to be a different person after every album,&#34; she says. &#34;And you have to keep moving forward.&#34;</p><p>Sights set on Nashville, Valazza landed in New Orleans. &#34;It wasn&#39;t the plan. I spent three months there between tours, and it just kind of happened.&#34; The bright newness of The Big Easy illuminated fresh inspirations and unexpected love. But it also cast a stark light on Valazza&#39;s sense of self; in a new place, you can see more clearly what you want to be, as well as what you haven&#39;t been. &#34;I discovered the less likeable parts of myself in that time,&#34; Valazza says. Album standout &#34;Your Heart&#39;s a Tin Box&#34; encapsulates precisely this, with a cynical-yet-sunny likeness to Joni Mitchell and lyrical acuity: <em>I moved down to New Orleans / Thinking love would reappear / But people tell you everything / but what you wanna hear / You relied on fixated company / Now you&#39;re drowning in your ego&#39;s gluttony. </em>The patterns of her Portland life had stalled Valazza. It wasn&#39;t the city&#39;s fault so much as the natural consequence of complacency, the stagnance that comes with too much of the same. Valazza knew she was due for a personal evolution, and when faced with those innate, bristling pangs of change, could soothe herself with that certainty.</p><p>The track sequence on <em>From Newman Street</em> is audibly intentional — from a deep lull and dull itch, to a barbed clash with cognitive dissonance, to humble submission, and an ultimate, open-armed acceptance of new life. Poetically enough, half the songs on the upcoming album were written in Portland, the other half in New Orleans. Valazza returned to her former hometown to record with Matt Thomson at Echo Echo Studios, and titled the release <em>From Newman Street</em> in tribute to an apartment she lived in deeply and left with heavy heart. The album is as much a fond farewell as it is a fervent step forward.</p><p>Valazza made the official move to New Orleans in February of 2024. &#34;Coming from placid, wintry Portland straight into Mardi Gras — I would not recommend it.&#34; She recalls the time with humor, grace, and sensitivity for her past self, qualities that shine through the album. &#34;I&#39;ve always been a believer that music is only good if it&#39;s really raw, really honest — probably coming from a place of hurt,&#34; Valazza admits. &#34;But I&#39;m trying to embrace chaos these days, and bring a little more light into my life.&#34;</p>

From switching instruments mid-song to Frasco stagediving into the crowd or kibitzing with them, an </span><strong>Andy Frasco &amp; The U.N.</strong><span style="font-weight:400"> show is a celebration of inclusivity and tolerance where “You do You” and “let us do us.”</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">The band has grown from playing bars to touring more than 250 days a year all over the country, with Frasco describing that 15-year journey on </span><em><span style="font-weight:400">Growing Pains</span></em><span style="font-weight:400">, the group’s landmark 10th studio album and first full-length effort since 2023’s </span><em><span style="font-weight:400">L’Optimist</span></em><span style="font-weight:400">, showcasing Andy’s growth as a tunesmith in his own right.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Produced by Frasco himself for the first time, the collection’s centerpiece is the anthemic “Try Not to Die,” a glass half-full anthem to seizing the day that combines country twang with an easy island breeze in its affirmative message.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">“Life is Easy,” featuring bluegrass superstar Billy Strings, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and co-writer/frequent collaborators Steve Poltz (Rugburns, Jewel) and Chris Gelbuda (Meghan Trainor), is a folk protest anthem. “Swinging for the Fences,” featuring cameos by G. Love and Eric Krasno (Lettuce, Tedeschi Trucks Band Soulive), is a Motown-flavored paean to dating someone out of your league. <div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><strong style="font-size:1.286rem;letter-spacing:0px">2019 marked Simien’s 34th consecutive New Orleans Jazz &amp; Heritage Festival</strong><span style="font-size:1.286rem;letter-spacing:0px"> – the gold standard for diversity in American roots music.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p><strong>2014</strong> proved to be another memorable year when Simien &amp; his collaborators from the Zydeco Experience band were honored with their second GRAMMY award in Los Angeles on January 26, 2014 at the Nokia Theatre.</p><p><strong>2012 found Simien &amp; his band mates seen performing their original song “Dance Everyday”</strong> in the Warner Brothers film “The Lucky One” starring Zac Efron and Blythe Danner, and directed by Oscar nominated director Scott Hicks. Simien’s version of zydeco standard “Uncle Bud” was also used in the film.</p><div><div><p><strong>2009 signaled the release of Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog”</strong>, set in the city of New Orleans and featured their first black princess. Alas, history was made. Simien is the featured guest artist on “Gonna Take You There”, a zydeco flavored song penned by <strong>Randy Newman</strong>. Simien recorded the song with Newman in Los Angeles in late 2007 and it has became a favorite track for children everywhere! Simien’s student audiences all over the country sing along with him when he &amp; his band mates perform it during their school time concerts. History was also made in a very big way for this genre –  as it was the first time Disney featured zydeco music in a film!  As if that was not enough – the word zydeco was also spoken in the movie by one of the characters and has introduced generations of young children and families to an indigenous American roots music that because of this film, many heard for the very first time! We are forever grateful to John Lasseter and the team at Disney for this rare opportunity to have this genre immortalized in a Disney film.</p><p><strong>In 2005 Simien led HBO producers deep into Creole country for another high visible opportunity</strong> for the genre and he introduced them to the prodigious 5 year old zydeco talent, Guyland Leday. This gifted young musician was featured in the HBO doc “The Music in Me: Children’s Recitals from Classical to Latin, Jazz to Zydeco. This was a huge victory for his state, genre and Creole culture. It was also this year that they became the first zydeco artists to perform in Cuba for the U.S, State Department. In 2006, Carnegie Hall presented them in Mali, West Africa as part of their unique Global Encounters program. There have been multiple U.S. State Department tours to North Africa, Ukraine, Russia, Dominican Republic, Paraguay – all as part of the U.S Cultural Diplomacy efforts around the globe that began in <a href="http://time.com/5056351/cold-war-jazz-ambassadors/">1955.</a></p><p><strong>However, it was 2008 that proved to be one of the most memorable years of their eventful career</strong> when they were honored with their first GRAMMY™ award and the first in zydeco since Rockin Sidney Simien received his in 1985. They also performed that day at The 50th GRAMMY™ Awards pre-Tel ceremony. This was also the culmination of 7 years of hard work to establish a new Grammy category for best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album that Simien and his wife/business partner, Cynthia led to success. They effectively changed the vocabulary of the Recording Academy and the trajectory of the history for both genres. Because of their efforts that began in 2001, to connect their region with the GRAMMY awards after decades with little or no recognition in the awards,<strong> since 2008 over 100 Cajun &amp; zydeco artists have garnered Grammy noms and awards.</strong> Their hard work embodies an inclusive leadership style and artist advocacy for the greater good of their broader music community, city (Lafayette &amp; Opelousas) and state of Louisiana. This is also now an important part of Southern roots music history, African American music history and the Americana Music Triangle.</p><p><strong>Simien was born in 1965 (appropriately) into the hippie folk and soul music era </strong>that still intrigues him today. He grew artistically being influenced and inspired by all of the music from that period. He was as influenced by Dylan and Simon and Garfunkel as he was by Sam Cooke and the Commodores. Since his family is documented in history books as one of the first Creole families to settle St. Landry Parish, his musical roots are firmly planted alongside the great zydeco pioneers like Chenier, Delafose, Chavis, Ardoin and that other Simien, Rockin Sidney, to name a few. He counts himself one of the fortunate few who hail from a generation with a direct link to these artists, some of whom mentored him as an emerging talent. He has assumed that same role to a new generation of young Zydeco hotshots because he understands how critical mentoring is to the success of his indigenous music that has become synonymous with the cultural identity of Louisiana and an important part of the musical landscape of this country.</p><p><strong>In 1983 at the young age of 18, Simien began touring professionally and by 20</strong> he was sharing the stage with Fats Domino and Sarah Vaughn at the Bern Jazz Festival. His career exploded after that and Terrance remains a pivotal part of Zydeco music history. In the early 1980’s there were only 2 emerging bands touring nationally; the young Terrance and The Sam Brothers were the only artists reaching a younger audience with their indigenous roots music. Simien was also vital to the “renaissance” of a genre that was becoming extinct with the passing of each pioneer starting with Clifton Chenier in 1987. By the end of the 1990’s, all of the other influential pioneers had departed. This placed Terrance at the forefront of an exciting period of growth and popularity for this black roots music born in the rural, French speaking Creole communities of South Louisiana. Some might call him the OG of zydeco! We’re def down with that.</p><p><strong>Simien is blessed with an extraordinary talent and charisma that expresses our</strong> deepest human emotions through the original instrument: The Voice. He takes his audiences on a multicultural tour of the world as the many countries he’s visited while on tour have informed his musical language. He creates a hypnotic blend of New Orleans funk-reggae-flavored-world-blues-American zydeco roots music that beckons you to your feet and into the groove. He has found a seamless and artful way to deliver his eclectic music as a relevant, evolving artist who is clearly rooted in Creole tradition. Well known for his legendary live performances, Simien also helped change the vocabulary for his genre by introducing complex vocal harmonies, diverse repertoire and carefully crafted high quality recordings.</p><p><strong>Terrance and his loyal and skilled band mates, the Zydeco Experience, have shared studio &amp; stage with Robert Palmer, Stevie Wonder, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, the Meters, Alan Toussaint, Paul Simon and Dave Matthews Band</strong> to name a few. Their music has been featured in TV commercials and a dozen or more films, including the blockbuster “The Big Easy” which changed the game for Louisiana music in the late 80’s. Their music has been heard on NPR syndicated radio shows like World Café, American Routes, E-town &amp; House of Blues Radio Hour. Rolling Stone, Billboard, and other notable music industry publications, as well as major daily newspapers have praised his recordings. His extensive discography dates back to vinyl 45’s. In 1991 he was signed to rock label Restless Records by A&amp;R rep Ron Goudie who brought the band Poison to the same label group.</p><p><strong>Simien’s groundbreaking Creole for Kidz &amp; The History of Zydeco for student, youth and family </strong>audiences has reached nearly 500,000 since its debut in 2000. This dynamic program is presented at performing art centers, schools and festivals. Simien is helping build a more culturally literate young performing arts patron who is more knowledgeable about zydeco roots music because of his program. <p><span style="font-weight:400">The Thing is a four piece rock and roll band from New York City. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">The Thing consists of Lucas Ebeling (Drums), Jack Bradley (Guitar &#43; Vocals), Michael Carter (Guitar &#43; Vocals), and Zane Acord (Bass &#43; Vocals). </span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Michael, Jack, and Zane bonded over a shared love for rock &amp; roll in school. Their influences span generations and styles like The Kinks, Cream, and artists of The Nuggets Compilation. As they progressed in skill and knowledge the band started envisioning a career inspired by the likes of Brian Jonestown Massacre, King Gizzard, and The Black Keys. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">The band originated in New York City in 2022. Months later, the band found drummer Lucas Ebeling who was freelancing in the New York jazz scene.  Since then they have played hundreds of shows across North America and Europe. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">Their debut LP, ‘Here’s the Thing’, was self-recorded by the band in Zane’s childhood home in Sharon, CT as well as Jack’s prior studio in Brooklyn. After establishing their sound and recording process, the band turned around the month after it was released to the public and recorded their second LP, ‘The Thing Is’ in May of 2023. The album was self-recorded in one month, with Lucas on the kit this time. With this album, they experimented more and recorded with all four members playing together in the same room. This method proved worthy, they recorded their third album in the same manner in January of 2024. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">The Thing’s self-titled third LP can be expected Summer 2025. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">LONG LIVE THE THING.</span></p>

<div>Texas native Rhett Miller is perhaps best known as the frontman of the Dallas-based alt-country band the Old 97&#39;s, although he has also pursued a critically acclaimed solo career.<br /><br />Formed in 1993, the Old 97&#39;s built a devoted following with their brash blend of country and power pop influences, making a splash with 1995&#39;s Wreck Your Life, which won the group a brief stay on the roster of Elektra Records, a period kicked off with one of their finest hours, 1997&#39;s Too Far to Care.<br /><br />All four members also pursued side projects, but Miller&#39;s solo career captured the most attention, with the literate songwriter training his eye on such subjects as fatherhood, sex, and love. For as much as the Maine singer, songwriter, and guitarist wrestles with big questions about life and love in his songs, he also celebrates the magic of spending his days living  in a small town. His powerhouse vocal delivery, no-frills instrumentation, unabashed honesty, and eloquent songcraft might just make you appreciate the moment a little bit more.</p><p>After twelve years fronting The Ghost of Paul Revere, he offers up his story as a solo artist for the first time on his 2024 full-length debut album, <em>Hundred Mile Wilderness</em>, and much more to come.</p><p>“I’ve always found a lot of joy and pride in songwriting. Armed with tunes of his own, he retreated to Nashville, TN and recorded <em>Hundred Mile Wilderness</em> with producer Eddie Spear.</p><p>The title nodded to both his home state and the genesis of this next creative chapter.</p><p>“The <em>‘Hundred Mile Wilderness’ </em>,” he notes. “Is an  untouched stretch-of-wilderness at the northernmost end of the Appalachian Trail. To me, the journey to make this record paralleled exploring deep in the Maine woods  . You know deep down there&#39;s going to be an end to it, but you don&#39;t know when you’ll reach it   or what you&#39;re going to  experience along  the way.”</p><p>He initially teased this era with the harmonica-buzzed and choir-backed  “Reflections.” Regarding the song, he reveals <em>“‘Reflections’</em> is a song about confronting big changes in your life and having to stare down the idea of who you were in order to discover who you want to be. ’ A couple days after the  band decided to call it, I felt rudderless, looking for a clearer picture of who was on my own for the first time in a long while. One morning,  I started humming what would become the melody to the chorus and before I knew it, I had written the whole song.”</p><p>On “Roll Down Slow,” wildly unrestrained fiddle wails over gently strummed chords. Written after a particularly harrowing night, Griffin says the song came after a bit of a wake up call. “It’s about looking yourself in the mirror and coming to terms with whatever choices you’ve made”. With clarity and catharsis, his vocals boom, “I’m in love with the pain of moving at the speed of sound”</p><p>Then, there’s “Juliet.”</p><p>“It’s a love song I’d been working on for a few years,” he notes. “I enjoy writing <em>‘sad love songs’</em>. They seem to live in a deeper well than stories of found love and happily ever-afters”. Soundtracked by worn hands meandering across a fretboard, it’s more a song of loss than love. One where Romeo never found Juliet, but couldn’t stop his search. His lamentations cut deep as he exhales, <em>“When I opened up my eyes, she wasn’t mine. My Juliet seems to be the only thing I’ll never find all of my days”</em></p><p>Brash, heavy-handed piano set “Our Town” in motion, and his voice simmers over the swaying and swaggering rhythm. <em>“Some say that the sun’s gone down in our town. But baby come on, we know better than that”.</em></p><p>“I wanted to write a song that captured the feeling of where I’m from and also comments on the rough shape it’s in,” he says. “Two vignettes of people who live in a small town. They&#39;re sad and a little desperate, but I’m not sure they know it. Rural towns have their own specific problems and maybe none of us are exactly where we thought we’d be, but we still show our pride to our neighbors. That’s a very Maine and New England sentiment. That feeling is the essence in Our Town.”</p><p>“I’m ready for a new chapter,” he says. “I don’t have a choice but to keep going; I have to make and play music. I had to make this record, which ultimately is both deeply personal and reflects where I call home, with all its failings and all its charm.  I hope I’m always curious, just as I hope I’m always proud of where I’ve been and where I can go. And I hope that I never lose that drive to tell stories I can find myself in”.</p><p>Ultimately, Griffin’s telling the story he’s meant to.</p>

<p>Steve Earle is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation. A protege of legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, he quickly became a master storyteller in his own right, with his songs being recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others. 1986 saw the release of his record, <em>Guitar Town</em>, which shot to number one on the country charts and is now regarded as a classic of the Americana genre. Most recently, Earle’s 1988 hit <em>Copperhead Road</em> was made an official state song of Tennessee in 2023.</p><p>Subsequent releases like <em>The Revolution Starts...Now</em> (2004), <em>Washington Square Serenade </em>(2007), and <em>TOWNES</em> (2009) received consecutive GRAMMY® Awards. <em>Jerry Jeff</em>, released in 2022, consisted of Earle’s versions of songs written by Jerry Jeff Walker, one of his mentors.</p><p>Earle has published both a novel <em>I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive </em>(Houghton Mifflin Harcourt 2011) and <em>Dog House Roses, a</em> collection of short stories (Houghton Mifflin 2003).</p><h1>Earle produced albums for other artists such as Joan Baez (<em>Day After Tomorrow</em>) and Lucinda Williams (Car Wheels on A Gravel Road)</h1><p>As an actor, Earle has appeared in several films and had recurring roles in the HBO series <em>The Wire </em>and <em>Tremé.</em>  In 2009, Earle appeared in the off-Broadway play <em>Samara</em>, for which he also wrote a score that <em>The New York Times</em> described as “exquisitely subliminal.” Earle wrote music for and appeared in <em>Coal Country</em>, for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. Earle is the host of the weekly show <em>Hard Core Troubadour </em>on Sirius Radio’s Outlaw Country channel.</p><p>In 2020, Earle was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. And in 2023, Steve was honored by the Bruce Springsteen Archives &amp; Center for American Music. Steve’s latest album, “Alone Again (Live)”, released on July 12<sup>th</sup>, 2024.</p>

The band consists of Eamon Moore (lead<br />vocals), Chris Conte (drums), Declan Harris (lead guitar), Billy Apostolou (bass/guitar), and Will<br />Harford (vocals/bass/guitar). Infectious stage presence and an homage to the indie-rock of the<br />90s have kick-started their career from a backyard band to a mainstage group. <p>Loudon Wainwright III begins another year of his career in 2025 with the January release of the new album <em>“Loudon Live in London” </em>which was recorded during a 3-night residency at Nell’s Jazz and Blues club in 2024.  Then in February, he is a special guest on the UK’s prestigious <em>“Transatlantic Sessions”</em> tour – the highly acclaimed concert series which for the last 30 years has explored and celebrated the rich musical traditions that connect Scotland, Ireland and the U.S.</p><p>Born in Chapel Hill, N.C. in 1946, Loudon Wainwright III came to fame when <em>“Dead Skunk”</em> became a Top 20 hit in 1972.  He had studied acting at Carnegie-Mellon University but dropped out to partake in the Summer of Love in San Francisco and wrote his first song in 1968 <em>(“Edgar,”</em> about a lobsterman in Rhode Island).  Loudon was signed to Atlantic Records by Nesuhi Ertegun, and after that was lured by Clive Davis to Columbia Records, which released <em>“Dead Skunk.”</em>  His songs have since been recorded by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Cash, Earl Scruggs, Kate &amp; Anna McGarrigle, his son Rufus Wainwright, and Mose Allison among others.  </p><p>In 2010 Wainwright and Dick Connette released the Grammy winning <em>“High, Wide &amp; Handsome: The Charlie Poole Project”</em>.  In 2010 <em>“I’d Rather Lead A Band</em>” came out to critical acclaim. That album features Loudon singing songs from the classic American Songbook. He’s backed by Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks, a 12-piece jazz orchestra.</p><p>“<em>Lifetime Achievement” </em>is his most recent studio album of original songs, reinforcing his status as our foremost six-string tragicomedian.  Upon its release in 2022 he put it in context by saying “When I made my first record for Atlantic in 1969, I wanted to make not only a recording, but a document that captures a moment.  Now, fifty years later, I guess I still want to make a testament of songs, and I like to think they might last a while.”</p><p>In 2023 Loudon and Dick Connette collaborated on <em>“Monsters”,</em> a 10 minute film about Wainwright’s boyhood obsession with horror films of the 1930s and 1960s.  Prior to that, he rode out the pandemic by producing a number of virtual shows, including <em>“The Special Relationship</em>” (presented by the Royal Albert Hall) and <em>“The Great Unknown”</em>, a musical tribute to his friend, the late George Gerdes.  Also featured in that show were Richard Thompson, Suzanne Vega, Steve Forbert, and the members of Spinal Tap.</p><p>Wainwright also created a one-man theatrical show, <em>“Surviving Twin”,</em> which combines his songs and the writings of his late father.  Initially developed as part of University of North Carolina&#39;s Playmakers series, it focuses on fatherhood - both being a father and having one - and also explores the issues of birth, self-identity, loss, mortality, fashion, and of course, pet ownership.  The show has been performed in limited theatre engagements and is available as a Netflix special, produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Christopher Guest.</p><p>He has also co-written songs with Joe Henry for Judd Apatow’s hit movie <em>“Knocked Up”</em>. Other credits include his music for the British theatrical adaptation of the Carl Hiaasen novel <em>“Lucky You”</em>, and his topical songs for NPR’s <em>“Morning Edition</em>” and<em> “All Things Considered</em>” as well as ABC’s<em> “Nightline”</em>.  An accomplished actor, he has appeared in films directed by Martin Scorsese, Hal Ashby, Christopher Guest, Tim Burton, Cameron Crowe, and Judd Apatow.  Wainwright has also starred on TV in “<em>M.A.S.H</em>.” and<em> “Undeclared”</em>, and on Broadway in<em> “Pump Boys and Dinettes”</em>.  </p>

<p>Nancy Atlas and her band of Journeymen have been dominating the East End Music scene or Long Island for quite some time. Known for her raw, live performances and stellar songwriting Nancy and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have opened for almost everyone under the sun. To name a few: Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills and Nash… the list goes on and on. The reason is simple. When people want a solid act to open their show and get the crowd warmed up, they call  Nancy and her boys because they know they will deliver. Every time.<br />Nancy grew up with gypsy blood in Commack, NY. Eager to get the buck out of dodge she spent her entire college years abroad at both Cambridge University in England and Richmond College in London and Florence.  She majored in art history, fine art, drinking lots of wine and talking shit. There was a serious recession going on the year she graduated college so instead of becoming a mad advertising executive she walked down to Portabello Road, London, bought a guitar for 60 quid and never looked back. It was pouring buckets of English rain that day so they gave her a black plastic bag to cover her guitar as it didn’t come with a case. Nothing, it is said, can stop true desire.<br />Nancy now lives in Montauk, New York with her husband Thomas and her two sons, Cash and Levon, and her daughter Tallulah. When she is not writing a song or on stage rocking out, she can be found clamming with her kids, surfing with her kids, walking with her kids, reading with her kids or <a href="http://nancyatlas.com/?page_id&#61;285">cartooning</a> for her kids. On rainy days she lazily traces tour maps of Europe with her right hand while sipping her beloved PG Tibs English Tea and smiling out into the East End Mist.</p><blockquote></blockquote>

Effect was formed in 2014, and over the last 10 years, has become one of Long Island&#39;s premier alternative rock cover bands - Specializing in music spanning 1990-2010, with a little sprinkle of some older favorites as well. The band has worked the circuits of bars and restaurants, music venues, street festivals, private parties, weddings and other events. Offering both a 4-person full band lineup, or acoustic duo, O.P. Effect will bring a good time to any setting and get the crowd singing along. </p>

<div><div><div><div><div><div><p>After four fun-packed years down under, a brush with death and the related injuries were enough to convince Dave to leave the stunt business and return to Canada, to focus solely on music, in late 1988.</p><p>His fans were glad he did and Dave took on music full time to perfect his professional repertoire, in Southern Ontario, Canada. He quickly became known for his big sound and antics on stage and ventured to write and produce his first album of original tracks. The result was an album with the  title track “I’m in Trouble”, an eclectic collection of pop material that showcased Dave’s versatility as a writer, vocalist, musician and producer.</p><p>Following a number of local TV appearances around this time, Dave gave a charitable performance for the annual Terry Fox Run. The outdoor venue was packed with approximately 10,000 people participating in the festivities and the ‘Run for Cancer’. This was followed by several months of club bookings all over Southern Ontario, promoting his music.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p>Dave was invited for a season in Bermuda that actually lasted an incredible 20 years! From house band at “The Cock &amp; Feather” to the headline act at “Henry VIII Pub and Restaurant,” he delighted an international audience and still travels to entertain many of these fans, in all corners of the globe, by private invitation.</p><p>Dave now makes his home in Key West, Florida where he shares his unique and ever-expanding performing style with yet another international group of tourists and locals alike. He spends his summers on the road or in the UK, with his wife Karen, where his reputation and fan base also continues to grow.</p><p>Dave Bootle possesses a killer comic presence, a versatile, range and an appealing voice. <p>What goes around comes around, and nearly 25 years since their founding in Denton, Texas, multi-Platinum country band Eli Young Band have come home.</p><p>Led by an unmistakable vocal and bringing a Texas-rock edge to modern country, the never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones, and Chris Thompson have spent two-plus decades on the run, growing from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers. Yet in all that time, EYB never forgot its raising, and today the foursome reclaim the spirit behind their success.</p><p>Returning to their independent roots, the bold creative defiance that launched them into the mainstream – and in many ways to their old stomping grounds – it’s a new chapter driven by experience and a million miles of wisdom, from a band of brothers still very much in their prime.</p><p>“We started this thing when we were like 20 years old, and it’s been such a crazy road and such a longer road than any of us could have conceptualized at the time,” says Jones. “I think right now feels a little full circle, in a really nice way.”</p><p>“Now, we get to step back into our Texas shoes,” Eli agrees. “I think this new stuff finds us reaching deep into our past as a band. We’re remembering where the magic was – all those songs we wanted to record for our <em>Level</em> record, that felt way too edgy for Country Radio at the time.”</p><p>Indeed, after becoming icons of Texas’ vibrant college-bar scene – and then packing arenas all over the state (without label support) – that <em>Level</em> album from 2005 landed like a live wire, injecting EYB into the mainstream. They followed in 2008 with their Gold-certified breakout “Always the Love Songs” and <em>Jet Black &amp; Jealous,</em> one of three career Billboard Top 5 albums which include the Number One <em>10,000 Town</em>s and Platinum <em>Life At Best</em>.</p><p>Likewise, back-to-back Number One singles came with the 5X Platinum “Crazy Girl” in 2011 and 3X Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” (2012), plus the Platinum Number One “Drunk Last Night” and 2X Platinum Number One “Love Ain’t” after that. All along they kept the intensity of their live shows front and center, and with a following which now includes more than 1.4 million Facebook followers, 2.2 million monthly Spotify listeners and more, it’s time to get back to the point.</p><p>Ready to follow up 2022’s <em>Love Talking</em>, the band have returned to Panhandle House Studio in their hometown of Denton – the same studio where <em>Level</em> was born – bringing new tunes and new excitement along with them. All co-written as a band or with long-trusted collaborators, a fresh batch of songs return EYB to the raw, grassroots energy and emotional sting of their early work, geared for the stage and recorded without digital tricks.</p><p>For the band, being independent again for the first time in years isn’t a challenge, it’s a reward – and they took the chance to embrace not just renewed creative freedom, but the fun of their self contained live-band philosophy.</p><p>“Going back to Panhandle House where we recorded <em>Level</em>, it feels like we got to remind ourselves why we started making the kind of music we make,” Eli says. “When this music comes out, I think fans will know it is 100% coming from us.”</p><p>“Honestly, going to Panhandle House feels like going back to your childhood house in a way,” Jones notes. “It just evokes these memories, like this slightly-younger version of ourselves comes out.”</p><p>“One thing that’s really special is we’ve come full circle and remember that energy, but we’re also older and wiser,” Thompson adds. “We have years of studio, songwriting and performing experience under our belt, so we have more of a honed edge going in. That’s a really cool advantage.”</p><p>The comfort level is plainly evident. Exploring new corners of their patented sound by day, and going home to their families each night, the band were free to bring every ounce of the last 25 years to bear. Tracks like the lead single “Home In Hometown” are proof, featuring all the elements that made EYB what it is – from the electric vocal delivery to the deeply textured sonics and soulful theme.</p><p>A true-to-experience ballad of life on the highway, “Home In Hometown” stands as a heart-on-their-sleeve tribute to those the band loves most – and what they’ve learned from 20&#43; years away. While atmospheric guitars and a steady rhythmic pulse capture a sense of anticipation, another euphoric chorus helps the band unpack what “home” really means.</p><p>“I was digging deep into our Texas roots,” Eli says of the modern-classic midtempo. “I wanted to write something that felt like Pat Green or Jack Ingram would cut. And when you travel like we do, a lot of times you’re thinking about coming home and being with your family – but, it’s almost like if they meet you on the road, anywhere can be home. It just feels right. I wanted to capture that.”</p><p>More new tunes will roll out as 2025 and their 25th anniversary arrive, with the band continuing to celebrate an EYB homecoming. From feel-good singalongs and heart melting wedding anthems to pure, untamable romance and clever comebacks of love, they show the same stage-rocking Texas-country hit makers fans know and love, undaunted and with new maturity baked in. We all know seasons change, but if you pay attention long enough, things have a way of coming back around.</p><p>“It’s been a blessing just to be able to do this for so long, and over our career we’ve seen a lot of bands come and go,” Young says. “It feels it’s family, and we can take that with us as we go down this next part of the road.”</p><p>“Our music, since it’s been the four of us making it from day one, has such a strong through line,” Jones agrees. “The way we sounded in the beginning, that’s the way we’re going to sound in the end.”</p><p>“There is no A&amp;R, there’s no label head. There’s nobody saying, ‘Maybe you should do this, maybe you should push that,’” Eli explains.</p><p>“Yeah, we’ve got no one to blame,” Jones adds with a laugh. “Honestly, we just want people to know we still absolutely love making music, and this comes from a place of passion. Life is good and we’ve got stuff to say, we’ve got this thing we’ve built. I feel like we’re in a good place.”</p>

Jeff is also a member of The Steven Tekulsky Band / Steven Tekulsky Trio and is a frequent member of Sarah Conway and the Playful Souls.</p><p>David Zensky – lead guitar and vocals.  David is a Long Island native and lifelong rock &#39;n&#39; roll roller, most recently playing in some of New York City&#39;s favorite tribute bands, including Mockingbird Hill, Local Heroes, The Letterbombs and Tumblweed Connection.</p><p>Paul Brokaw – keyboards and vocals. Paul is another lifelong rocker and is also a prolific composer having written, recorded and produced over 600 pieces of music published in over 36 countries around the world. Paul has played in numerous bands for decades and is currently a longtime member of Damaged Goods and Ken McGorry and the Achievements.</p><p>Troy Grindle – bass and vocals. Troy is a multi-instrumentalist (bass guitar, guitar, drums, violin, keyboards) best known as a member of Real East End Brass (REEB!). <p>Multi-instrumentalist-vocalist Larry Campbell and singer-guitarist Teresa Williams have rocked many a venue, as both center stage performers and invaluable assets to world class acts. A shortlist of artists who’ve benefited from their talents, live and in studios, reads like a Who’s Who of Music Icons: Bob Dylan (Larry spent eight years on the Never Ending Tour), Paul Simon, Little Feat, Hot Tuna, Phil Lesh, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Mavis Staples, and, for one miraculous seven-year stretch, Levon Helm. Now, with an eponymous debut album, the couple brings it all back home. Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams may have been simmering awhile, but the timing is perfect; the eleven tracks, produced by Campbell, distill everything into a potent, infectious blend of Americana style and timeless soul, offered with a relaxed generosity that can only come from rich experience. Larry and Teresa’s story begins at New York’s famed Bottom Line club in the mid 80s; she was singing country, he was playing pedal steel. It was love at first chord. “She was the real deal,” native New Yorker Larry says. “None of that Urban Cowboy nonsense. And she was clock-stopping gorgeous. I was smitten.” “I’d thought country music players in New York was an oxymoron,” says Tennessee-born Teresa. “But he saved my life on that stage. I thanked him for bringing the heavy steel down to play just a few songs, and when we looked into each other’s eyes I saw everything he is, the depth of his soul.” They married soon after, setting off on their own individual highways, but always circling back to each other. Among other adventures, Teresa originated the role of country music pioneer Sara Carter in the musical Keep On the Sunny Side, and Larry achieved renown as the go-to roots music guy for sessions, tours, and pit bands, the dude who’d mastered a dizzying array of stringed instruments and styles. The seeds for a duet project were unwittingly planted in their courting days, when Larry and Teresa sang and played with the locals under her great-great grandmother’s Tennessee cedar tree, the same one under which they married. (These gatherings continue to this day.) Later, when the duo was song-swapping all night with the band in the back of Bob Dylan’s tour bus, Dylan’s longtime manager Jeff Kramer told Larry he was crazy not to make hay with what they had as a duo. But their schedules kept the idea on the back burner until 2005, when Levon Helm called. He’d beaten cancer, was invigorated as never before, and was putting together a band for the soon-to-be legendary Midnight Rambles at his barn-studio in Woodstock, NY. He wanted some Campbell-Williams mojo to help make the most of his surprise fourth act. This humble beginning – playing in a barn on a dirt road – inaugurated the greatest musical experience of Larry and Teresa’s Larry became the unflappable leader of the shape-shifting Midnight Ramble Band, earning three Grammys for producing Levon’s final three CDs; Teresa, as an indispensable band member, frequently brought the house down. Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams is an extension of that time, featuring eight originals and three covers honed on the carpet of Levon’s barn, under the gaze of grateful fans. Songs like the Muscle Shoals-inflected CD opener “Surrender to Love,” heart-wrenching ballad “Another One More Time,” and boot-stomper “Bad Luck Charm,” feature the distinctive texture of two entwining voices who’ve been through a lot together – the good, the bad, and the joyous.“It was the most pure musical experience I’ve ever had,” Larry says of their time with Levon. “It gave me the template for how to make music for the rest of my life: no egos, no agenda, no petty stuff. I looked forward to every gig I ever did with Levon, I loved doing it, and when it was over I couldn’t wait for the next one. I got inspired to write more songs for Teresa and me to sing.”For Teresa, singing in the church-like space at the Midnight Rambles was full circle for her childhood discovery of the magic between an audience and an artist. “I don’t remember a time not singing in front of people. I sang in church, at school, everywhere. I didn’t know anything about making records. I just knew connection to an audience was everything. While standing onstage Saturday nights at Levon’s – musically true north – in that intimate space, I realized: this was my dream, and I’m in it.”When performing at Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch in Ohio, Teresa took on Reverend Gary Davis’ “Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning,” infusing the apocalyptic gospel tune with show-stopping, pew-jumping fervor. Her roots as a seventh-generation Mississippi Delta cotton-farm girl rose to the surface.The song became part of the Midnight Ramble repertoire, and captured on Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams, it’s a powerful force indeed.After Levon’s 2012 passing, they grieved, celebrated his life, and got to work finishing Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams. They had the tunes, and, with drummer (and ace recording engineer) Justin Guip and Ramble Band member Byron Isaacs on bass, they had an ass-kicking, road-worthy band. Additionally, the lovefest of guests on Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams sweetened the pot considerably: Amy Helm’s voice melding with Larry and Teresa’s on the gorgeous Grateful Dead hymn “Attics Of My Life,” Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne’s rollicking touch on several tracks, and Levon himself appearing on “You’re Running Wild,” a tune made famous by the Louvin Brothers, now given an Orbison touch (originally recorded during Levon’s Dirt Farmer sessions). Finally, it all dovetailed into place. With Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams, this duo not only brings a lot to the table, they bring the table itself – plus the house, the still, the church, the marriage bed, the sawdust-covered floor, and abiding, unconditional love, all carried in two voices harmonizing across hills, hollers, porches, and fire escapes. Those close harmonies ride atop music made in a mountain refuge, far from the madding crowd, connected to a spirit that lives on in song.</p>

<p>For over 50 years Black Uhuru has remained one of the most popular recognized prolific reggae band from Jamaica. The living legends have earned several achievements in the music industry including winning the first ever Grammy Award for reggae music. They’re long success along with having the highest reggae record sales after Bob Marley &amp; the most songs sampled by other artist over the years has allowed them to become Ambassadors of reggae. </p><p>The roots of Black Uhuru formed in Kingston’s “Waterhouse” District in the late 60’s. It is the home of founder &amp; leader Derrick “Duckie” Simpson along with all the rest of the singers from the group. The original Uhuru’s Swahili for “freedom” were Duckie, Don Carlos &amp; Garth Dennis. The first song was a Curtis Mayfield cover of “Folk Song”. They made only a couple more songs before Don left to pursue a solo career &amp; Garth joined Wailing Souls. The two were replaced by Michael Rose &amp; Errol Nelson both from Waterhouse. They recorded the debut album “Love Crises” in 1977 for Prince Jammy later re-released as “Black Sounds of Freedom”. Errol later left the group to join the Jays &amp; was replaced by female singer Puma Jones. </p><p>This new line-up is when the band began to collaborate with Sly &amp; Robbie &amp; developed the “classic Uhuru” sound of the 80’s. A unique style full of heavy drum &amp; bass, sharp keys, loud guitar riffs &amp; long instrumentals filled with whirly background effects &amp; the signature “wow oh-oh oh’s” echo. It was during this period they signed with Island Records. They began touring internationally &amp; started receiving worldwide attention. They recorded some of their most popular albums like “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” “Sensimelia” &amp; “Chill Out”. The album “Red” was voted #23 for Rolling Stone Magazine list of 100 greatest albums of the 80’s. And history was made when they won reggae’s first grammy award in 1984 for the album “Anthem”. Shortly after the grammy Michael left the group to go solo. </p><p>Another Waterhouse resident named Junior Reid became the new lead singer. Two albums were released “Brutal” nominated for grammy &amp; “Positive” with Ras Records. These albums included popular hits like “Dreadlocks on the Mountain” “Fit You Haffi Fit” &amp; one of the groups first music videos “Great Train Robbery”. Sadly due to ill health Puma passed away in 1990. Around this time Jr. Reid was having visa issues unable to tour. </p><p>During the mid 90’s the original members reunited. Four albums were released “Now”, “Iron”, Storm”, “Mystical Truth” &amp; “Strongg” all nominated for grammy. They made an award-winning music video for “Tip of the Iceberg” that featured rap star Ice-T &amp; another video for “One Love” featuring Louie Rankin. They performed live on television for VH1 a cover version of Jimmy Hendrix “Hey Joe”. In 1994 they won the Diamonds Awards for Excellence. Unfortunately, the group began to dispute over band legal rights &amp; went to court in the late 90’s. Duckie won the rights to the name. </p><p>As the new millennium approached Duckie found Andrew Bee’s once again from Waterhouse. Bee’s first tour with the band was in 1996 in Brazil. They released two albums “Unification” in 1998 &amp; “Dynasty” in 2001. In 2002 they reunited with Sly &amp; Robbie for an international world tour &amp; released a live album/dvd “Dubbin it Live”. The group resurfaced in 2010 &amp; has been touring extensively throughout Europe, South America &amp; the United States. In 2012 they performed in a Broadway musical in Los Angeles called “Loving the Silent Tears”. In 2013 Duckie was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the IRWMA. In 2017 they released a new single &amp; music video “Jah Guide” a Peter Tosh tribute that featured Bugle.</p><p>In 2018 Black Uhuru released “As The World Turns” the newest album after 15 years. It was nominated for “Best Reggae Album” at the 61st Grammy Awards. For the first time it featured Duckie on lead for the entire album. To support the album the band headed on a major US Tour &amp; Hawaii. During the East Coast leg of the tour they appeared live on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series where they performed a new single “I See You” taken from the “Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica Reloaded” album produced by Sean Edwards of Contractor Music. Two music videos &#34;Chalice&#34; &amp; &#34;War Crime&#34; were filmed by Benji Cooper for the album both featured on Reggaeville. </p><p>Right before the pandemic Black Uhuru went on a small West Coast Tour with Dylan&#39;s Dharma &amp; Etana where they performed at the One Love Festival in Long Beach. During the &#34;lock-down&#34; the band was idle all of 2020. Duckie did one live stream performance for Kumar&#39;s Kulture Walk St. Bess live video stream series during reggae month. </p><p>In 2021 Black Uhuru released a new single &#34;Jamaica to Here&#34; mixed by Shaquille &#34;Skunga&#34; Kong, &#34;Med Dread&#34; &amp; Mark &#34;Jah Servant&#34; Giles. Early this year in 2022 Black Uhuru just released a new full length album titled &#34;New Day&#34; &amp; music video for &#34;Brand New Day&#34; that features the members of Dylan&#39;s Dharma band. Partnering with Law Records the album was produced by King Hopeton at his Double Lion Studio in Helltown California &amp; mixed by Jermaine &#34;Ajang&#34; Forde with Dylan&#39;s Dharma band as the Executive Producers.Three music videos were made for the album &#34;Top Ranking&#34;, &#34;Gal Next Door&#34; &amp; the title track &#34;New Day&#34; all filmed by King Hopeton. </p><p>After the Pandemic Black Uhuru got back on the road in 2022. Starting with a small West Coast US Tour with Dlyan&#39;s Dharma in the Spring. Then in the Summer they headlined the Puerto Rico Reggae Festival at the Tito Puente Amphitheater. And finished a major US Tour in the Fall. </p><p>In 2023 Duckie released a new track titled &#34;Teaching of his Majesty&#34; that features Jah Mason from Boxy Records. Black Uhuru went on one small US West Coast Tour &amp; headlined the Truckee Reggae Fest. </p>

<p>Common Ground is Long Island’s premier party rock band, playing the classic hits and the “lost hits” from the 1980’s MTV Generation!  Common Ground is best known for their high energy live sets, frequently receiving accolades for song selection and live performance.    CG has an extensive song portfolio and they cover many musical genres.  </p><p>Common Ground “CG” was formed in 2013 by guitarist John LaCorte. The concept around the band name is twofold - CG relates to the appeal of the music to a wide variety of people, and speaks to the dynamics of band members finding “common ground” in musical direction and vision.  </p><p>The origin of the band dates all the way back to 2003- when LaCorte joined local band 11 Ways, which featured the strong lead singer duo of Rob and Perry Cuni.  The band played the local Long Island club scene for over a decade.   When the band split up in 2012, LaCorte formed CG, carefully selecting positive attitude, high energy and talented musicians to join the new project.    In addition to reuniting with the Cuni brothers, the current lineup includes keyboardist Jeff Naness, drummer Rob Noxious and bassist Rich Bente. In 2023 the band added female lead singer Laurie Munch Dz to the lineup.</p><p>In 2017- CG was honored to be selected to open for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Blondie at the Tilles Center.  You can catch Common Ground at many of Long Island’s top bars and venues. The seasoned group of musicians have shared the stage with members of Zebra, Rainbow, and Nine Days. </p>

<p>Tall Tall Trees is the musical id of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mike Savino, a pioneer in the realm of experimental, DIY banjo music. Accompanied by his trusty Banjotron 6500, a highly customized, electrified banjo and effects pedal setup, Savino has wowed audiences since the 2009 debut of his self-titled debut album with his eclectic and innovative blend of psychedelic folk, rock and world music. His work seems to actively evade comfortable definition, upon first listen one will recognize the tenderness of Cat Stevens, the melancholy introspection of Elliott Smith, the anthemic psychedelia of Pink Floyd, and a deep abiding respect for Earl Scruggs. Savino often performs solo, showcasing his fleet-footed loop pedal mastery, as well as alongside long-time collaborator and fellow innovator, Kishi Bashi. Tall Tall Trees latest release, A Wave of Golden Things was released in 2020 on Joyful Noise Recordings.</p><p>A Wave of Golden Things, his fourth studio album, opens with the distant crow of a rooster and takes off in a dust cloud of swirling banjo, drums and bass. The lead off track, “The Wind, She Whispers,” quickly evolves from a droning mountain melody into full-blown banjo funk, setting the precedent for an album of unexpected turns. Though the banjo is heavily featured, the influence of Pink Floyd, and Cat Stevens can be felt as much as banjo mavericks Earl Scruggs, and Bela Fleck.</p><p>Savino, who self-records and produces his music, abandoned the heavily-layered textures of 2017’s Freedays for a more organic, stripped-down approach, leaving his distinct voice and thoughtful lyrics as the centerpiece. Despite the sparse arrangements, Savino still manages to evoke the sonic imagery and pastoral landscapes that have often been hallmarks of Tall Tall Trees albums. Each of the eight songs that make up A Wave of Golden Things suggest a world unto itself, from the cosmic country-tinged, “Ask Me Again,” to the sprawling underwater lullaby “Deep Feels.”</p><p>Opting for an immersive experience over a traditional studio, Savino set up residence and a mobile recording rig on a hemp farm in the Appalachian mountains outside of Asheville, North Carolina, where he now resides. Recorded in just under three weeks, with much of it arranged on the spot, the album maintains a sense of immediacy, celebrating raw performance over perfection. “I’m giving up on my expectations, let them go and see where it takes us,” Savino sings on “Expectations,” almost seeming to revel in this experimental process.</p><p>Savino’s voice, left unadorned, can be simultaneously gentle and strong, at times sage-like in delivery. On the album’s closing title track “A Wave of Golden Things,” his soft spoken meditations on mental health reflect a new maturity in his song craft and singing. As the song develops, Savino’s voice gains confidence and his whisper becomes a fragile cry, neither full-throated nor fully secure, but at home in a warm bed of upright piano and echoing tape delay. “We all need a little peace and love right now,” he sings as if he’s at the end of his breath.</p><p>Reflective of the dark and challenging times of today, Savino’s message is ultimately one of hope and finding peace of mind in the chatter of the modern world. The last chorus reaches towards a transcendent beauty in the darkness, and makes a promise: “a wave of golden things, it waits for you.”</p><p>Christopher Paul Stelling: Artist Bio<br />Christopher Paul Stelling is an American singer-songwriter and virtuoso guitarist renowned for his intricate<br />fingerpicking, impassioned vocals, and evocative storytelling. Born on February 19, 1982, in Daytona Beach,<br />Florida, Stelling has traversed the U.S. and Europe, performing in intimate venues, festivals, and theaters. His<br />music seamlessly blends elements of folk, blues, and American roots traditions, drawing comparisons to artists<br />like John Fahey, Mississippi John Hurt, and Bob Dylan.<br />Over the past decade, Stelling has released seven albums, including Songs of Praise and Scorn (2012), False<br />Cities (2013), Labor Against Waste (2015), Itinerant Arias (2017), Best of Luck (2020), Forgiving It All (2021), and<br />his latest double LP, Forgotten But Not Gone &amp; Few and Far Between (2024). Raye earned a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, studying under Grammy Award-winning artist George Shirley. Her original music showcases her classical training while incorporating modern pop and R&amp;B elements.
